Is there potential for a conflict of interest in the settling of an estate having the same attorney or does it make the process less painful and more orderly?

Personally, to make certain there are no 'undue influence' issues later, I'd recommend the adult children have their own attorney.

Where money is involved, family can be a nightmare. Keep it clear who is representing whom.
