I'm not talking sweatshop stuff, just is it moral to pay so much less, toward the worker and the worker whose job they're taking.

First of all, the minimum wage in this country needs to be based on what a FATHER needs to support his wife and children. Our children don't need to be pushed into daycare 9 hours a day cuz mom has to pay the bills cuz the greedy of this country think that you can support a family on 200 bucks a week. That being said, illegals will keep coming as long as there is work for them. The INS should devote manpower to visiting all jobs that are stereotyped for using slave-i mean illegal-labor. If even one illegal is found, serious fines. Second strike, we should break the business's back, put them out of business. If we go after the greedy bosses who would rather pay an illegal 6 bucks an hour than pay an American 20 and hour, illegals won't have a reason to come. We must terrify the bosses out of hiring these leeches AND make a REAL border. Fifty years ago, a man could earn a living in construction or another HONEST trade. Would shutting bosses down help?

I had worked for a movie rental place about 2 years ago and I had given out movies to my friends and family without charging them and I got caught and they had me sign something stating that the value of rentals I gave out was like $140 bucks and they said even though I didn't actually take actual money, but instead gave movies out without charge, and by signing, I agreed to pay them back that amount. If they were to sue me, what type of punishment or judgement would I be looking at getting if found guilty? Thnx

would you consider it illegal search & seizure if your daughter had her purse seached without any legit reasons. my daughter is 12 years old & the school suspected she had cigarettes, so they searched her purse. the bad part is she had her female products in her purse and they emptied her purse in front all of the kids (including the boys) which embarressed her. in the end they found no cigarettes. at what point do we say this is illegal search. shoulnd't the parents be present when they search the kids & their personal things. i understand the lockers are the schools property and should be allowed to seach their own property. and i understand the situation with guns in schools. but this was over cigarettes, was this acceptable?

.. taxpayers to pay for a fence to keep his cows from wandering into Mexico.
Hundreds of nice folks are laying claim to all kinds of ways that are being done to stop immigration from Mexico. "And the beat goes on". Any way you imagine is going to stop the immigration will vanish when you wake up.

The rapid escalation of the U.S. anti-immigration hysteria -- fueled by ratings-hungry cable-television hotheads and leading Republican presidential hopefuls -- is a dangerous trend: It may lead to a Hispanic intifada that may rock this nation in the not-so-distant future.

Better get the old shootin eye up to snuff.

Remember the Palestinian intifada of the early 1990s, when thousands of frustrated young Palestinians took to the streets and threw stones at Israeli troops? Remember the French intifada of the summer of 2005, in which disenfranchised Muslim youths burned cars and stores in the suburbs of Paris?

If we are not careful, we may see something similar coming from the estimated 13 million undocumented immigrants in the United States, most of them Hispanic, who are increasingly vilified in the media, forced further into the underground by spineless politicians and not given any chance to legalize their status by a pusillanimous U.S. Congress.

In regards to providing the pill to teen aged girls in high schools. Am I the only one concerned with what will be prescribed? I understand the thought behind doing this, prevent pregnancies, embarassment at going to a clinic, etc. But if I recall, any time as a grown woman I had received a prescription for this type of medication, I had to have a full physical first to rule out any underlying conditions that could be ascerbated by taking a contraceptive. Will the girls be given complete, and I mean complete including gynocological, physicals before they get their pills from guidence office/nurse?

A White Center woman faces domestic-violence charges after she bit off her ex-boyfriend's lower lip as they were kissing, the King County Sheriff's Office reported.

The 49-year-old victim told police that the two kissed several times in a bedroom when, without provocation, she chomped off his lip and spit it out, the Sheriff's Office reported. Police were called about 11:30 p.m. Monday to the White Center home and found the victim sitting on the porch, bleeding.

"There was quite a bit of blood. He could talk, but just barely," Sgt. John Urquhart said.

They don't kick the people off who are say treasonist things like their country is behind 9/11 when they have no proof and their theories are alway being shot down because they are by crackpots.

They aren't a difference of opinon, these people are making unfounded accusations against the leaders of their country but their freedom of speech is protectd.

We have others on here with a different opinon, that ISN'T borderline treason and they get kicked off for no reason does that sound fair?

I'm doing this worksheet for my AP U.S. History class and it's called a Presidential Profile.
In one section it says:

Term: 1st Administration:
2nd Administration:

What does this mean? I'm not sure, and I don't want to do this wrong (it also doesn't help that we have to write in pen).
Please help? Thank you!
