Police Officers are not really loved like they should be at work and yes, they have a job to do, but the work place can be stressful. Each offcier takes a stress test when their hired,. but after that their free to go. Some officers are stressed out beyond normal limits.

Dont' you think they should be checked for stress levels each year????

They put their lives at risk each and every time they leave the home. That's stressful enough to do just that,.

For those of you who know where on earth Malaysia is, and perhaps heard about Malaysian socio-political issues, would you please tell me:

#How do you measure patriotism and love for one's country?
Political parties/government? Racial majority? Religion? What do you think?

Is a person considered 'unpatriotic' just because he/she disagrees with the current government and certain system being led by a certain 'majority' based on racial values and religion?

Can a person be labeled a racist just because he or she disagrees with the above example?#

My boyfriend went AWOL from the army (reported to duty station after AIT. Left 5 minutes later). He turned himself in at PCF Fort Sill on day 29. They allowed him to use his cell phone long enough to make a quick call. He told me he would be there four weeks and then i could come pick him up. He said he did not know what happens after he gets to go home in four weeks. I went to ask another question to get explanation, but they told him time was up. I have no way to hear from him now.
Can anyone tell me what is happening? How does he know he is coming home in four weeks. Is this his punishment time before a dishonorable discharge? He would have been in less than 6 months at that time and I heard you cant get dishonorable before 6 months in.
Without being rude, can someone tell me what is going on those 4 weeks? Keep in mind you don't know what kind of home problems he has at the moment with family. So don't judge, just tell me what you know. Thank you!

I have been working with disadvantaged young people for years and rarely do you get any acknowledgement that there is a problem.
Many of the young people I work with cannot even hold down a job to help get themselves out of the cycle due to having to move as accommodation isn't for very long due to demand. Other reasons are; being so transient due to few accommodation places, to expensive, abused, sexually abused, emotionally abused, parents use drugs n alcohol and the list goes on.
Many more have undiagnosed and diagnosed mental health issues. With little parental support there is a bleak future for many!!
Unfortunately Howard looks through Liberal-rose-coloured-glasses where everything is fine and there is no social problems.I am so pleased that one of our Leaders has acknowledged there is a problem and has gone some way to fixing this! Unfortunately the ones who blame the individual or don't believe there is a problem, aren't homeless!

How do people feel about this?

- His mom let his stepfather sign the birth certificate so his last name is Taylor.

- His biological father last name is Young.

-A DNA test was taken when my fiance was 14 and he is the biological father.

-He is not in contact with his father.

-My fiance's mother last name is currently Young which happens to be her mother's (my fiance's grandma) maiden name.

How much will it cost to change his last name from Taylor to Young? Do we have to do it the long way with the judge and his name in the paper? We live in California. He is over the age 21.

These days there is much backlash towards Mexicans and hispanics in general, due to the tremendous number of illegal immigrants, especially in California

People may have a difficulty concentrating their opposition on only the illegals, one reason is there is no visual difference. Another is similarity of language. People tired of illegals may resent hearing spanish, which is spoken by Mexican Americans, so legals regrettably get some prejudice from this

Once the problem is hopefully cleared (they returned to Mexico by themselves or by forced deportations) i believe i will have a positive feeling again towards the general hispanic population and the legal Mexican American community, just like 10 plus years ago when illegals were 'only' a few millions and schools, crime, gangs, traffic etc was less problematic

Would you agree with this feeling? Will the better impression come back?
