These days there is much backlash towards Mexicans and hispanics in general, due to the tremendous number of illegal immigrants, especially in California

People may have a difficulty concentrating their opposition on only the illegals, one reason is there is no visual difference. Another is similarity of language. People tired of illegals may resent hearing spanish, which is spoken by Mexican Americans, so legals regrettably get some prejudice from this

Once the problem is hopefully cleared (they returned to Mexico by themselves or by forced deportations) i believe i will have a positive feeling again towards the general hispanic population and the legal Mexican American community, just like 10 plus years ago when illegals were 'only' a few millions and schools, crime, gangs, traffic etc was less problematic

Would you agree with this feeling? Will the better impression come back?

Yes i would in fact I always did until I first heard about illegal immigration and how they jumped the fence from Mexico. When I was only a child maybe 5 or 6 I used to live in an Apartment Complex and most of the residents were Hispanics and Asians. They were nice people and fun to hang out with like all those soccer games, making fun of people, just having fun. Now that Im an adult, the Hispanics have been portrayed negatively because of the illegals that come from a Hispanic country. This unlawful act of immigration has affected most of the Hispanic community negatively. Now everyone thinks that everyone who is Hispanic is illegal. This is quite sad because I used to hang out with these people and they were legal. I think the Salvadorians hate Mexicans for being illegal and I think they are anti illegal and want to get rid of them dirty ignorant unlawful Mexicans just like the rest of us anti illegals do.

I still make a careful effort to be fair and just: Illegal = criminal, Legal = impressive, upstanding, pro-education, pro-law friend!

In fact, those here legally (as an answerer stated above) may be ABLE to speak, read and write Spanish, but they ALSO know full well how to speak English.

Having said all that, even the best of effort can fail the most conscientious person. And in the rare event that it happens, we feel like crap about it for a long time and apologize to the American friend profusely. Still, it doesn't change the fact that, had the deserters/invaders not deserted their people there and invaded us, here, the resultant animosity would be almost unheard of.

I am not a racial bigot by any stretch of the imagination, even though some wackos would brand me as such simply because I can see the obvious disaster of letting 3-million illegal Mexicans freely wander around my country. If they were 3-million aliens from Alpha Centauri or Mars I'd still feel precisely the same way.

Nuff said..!

It's an attractive difficult promote while hundreds of thousands of Americans are going with out to have illegals commanding and annoying they're extra main then our possess residents and desire distinct remedy. It's no longer the fault of the police the illegals broke the legislation. I desire those activists to exhibit me in which a lot of these men and women they cross on approximately arrested for watching unlawful is taken location at.

Yes. I want our borders secure. But about Mexicans in general, I never had a problem with people of Mexican heritage until the pro-illegals and their supporters (like the hateful trash talkers on this site) showed such low class and ugly behavior. McCain lost his chance at being president because he supported amnesty. Pro-illegals have made themselves enemies of the American people.

Star L: You are so funny, tell me something, how do you know the mexicans have a small pennis? hahaha, When did you suck a mexican pennis?, You are patetic.

Respect to this question, I think the north-americans always will have a negative impression about us (Hispanics), Americans don't care legal or illegal, they don't like immigrants.
I can tell you by experience, I'm white but i'm latino, when I go to somewhere the people talk me nice, you know, nice face, nice voice tone, etc. but when they listen my hispanic accent their face, voice etc. change and always they are asking me about my nationality and when they know it they talk me bad and stop talking to me looking me eyes, when somebody talk you and don't look your eyes means something like enemy. You know what I mean.

no the white/aryans ''welcome to a new kind of tension all across the aryan nationnnn ta da duh da a duh'' will never stop their crying until America is rid of all non-whites/aryans. then they will stop crying, and their grandchildren will ask their racist grandfathers ''daddy why did we get rid of all non-whites/aryans?'' and the answer will be ''because that's the only solution to our racism'' sorry but I speak the truth and nothing but the truth.

Maybe it will be good in the long run. When the price of food goes up, produce is rotting in the fields, construction companies, factories and others can't get enough help, we might have to encourage Mexico to send us more workers. Maybe then they'll get decent pay, better treatment and a little respect.
