Iran... is Years (many) away from being able to make a Nuclear weapon.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/08/01/AR2005080101453.html
they are a charter member of the non proliferation treaty
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_program_of_Iran#Iran.27s_nuclear_programme_and_the_NPT
and are allowed by law to work towards a peaceful Nuclear energy program...
which they have adhered to strictly otherwise the world would have allowed the US and it's allies to bomb them into oblivion 24 months ago...
The fact that we have not is proof that they are within the confines of the treaty....
so why do we as the American people allow our Government run media to steamroll this issue? .. they are a sovereign nation,..
Have we assumed the role of "world police" ... clearly, we have no credibility when it comes to intel .... "WMD's"??????
why are some of you so ready to spill more blood in that country...

By the way islamo-fascist is not a real word,
but imperialism is.....

O.K ~ My Name is Penelope and I am a Conservative Republican. Three things I hate about my party RIGHT NOW are;

1. Lack of Motivation or Courage to protect our borders.

2. Too much caving to the Religious right on issues that don't matter.

3. The Elephant GOP symbol. Change it to Reagan, Moses or Washington dressed in his Revolutionary Garb. Something that stands for Self Reliance or Freedom.

I'm a Dem who's first choice is defintely not Hillary (Republican Lite), however, I did come across this interesting bit of information:

Seems to me that any Republican is less electable then Hillary.

ABC News/Washington Post Poll. Sept. 27-30, 2007. N=1,114 adults nationwide. Fieldwork by TNS.
"If [see below] wins the Democratic/Republican nomination for president would you definitely vote for him/her in the general election for president in 2008, would you consider voting for him/her or would you definitely not vote for him/her?"

PERCENT SAYING "DEFINITELY WOULD NOT"

RANKED FROM LEAST TO MOST
Obama -- 39%
Clinton -- 41%
Edwards -- 43%
Giuliani -- 44%
McCain -- 45%
Thompson -- 54%
Romney -- 57%

Dozens of suspected illegal immigrants were taken into custody by federal agents Thursday morning during a raid in Scranton.

Agents went to a company that makes equipment for the military, rounding up about one-third of the people there and taking them into custody.

Employees said they heard a knock at the door at North American Manufacturing, stopping production. The company makes field and ammunition packs and cots for the U.S. military.

Police blocked the street and federal agents went in about 8:15 a.m. Company officials estimate they took out about 40 of their 120 first-shift workers.

Antwan Garner is an American citizen. He was inside putting together a military cot when it all happened.

"They asked for all the American citizens to go to one side of the room and all the immigrants to the other side, and they did a little test looking at people working. A lot of things went down today. This was crazy," Garner said.

Suspected illegal immigrants were loaded into a waiting van.

Many suspected illegal immigrants were led out by Immigration and Customs enforcement agents.

Several family members and friends watched as the workers were led into a waiting bus and van. George Guevara's mother was not taken away but his cousins were.

"They're not criminals you know, just working. Me, I've been here for seven years, you know. I'm legal in this country but either way, they look at us the same way, you know, whether we're legal or not legal," Guevara said.

North American Manufacturing officials said some of the employees taken into custody were long-time workers. They said they were shocked to see immigration agents arrive and said they never expected anything like this,
especially because the company has checked the identification and social security cards of all of their 135 workers.

The immigration office in Washington D.C. has not commented about the number of arrests or about any charges.

The plant manager at North American Manufacturing Plant said he has heard from his employees that all the women who were taken into custody have been released but the men were taken on a bus to the immigration office in Philadelphia.

At this point, there is no word if they are coming back.http://www.wnep.com/Global/story.asp?S=7265058&nav=menu158_2

An incident happened. My friends tried to jump another guy outside the strip club parking lot. He guy said "if any of yall run up and try me ima start bustin". It was like 12 vs 1. The guy shot 5 bullets hit 4 people out the group of 12 and killed 1 person. If the shooter dosent have a gun permit, is that considered self defence or 2nd degree? Just curious.

There is absolutely no difference between those 2 parties when they are actually elected (with the exception of one or two irrelevant social issues). Both parties want War against Iraq, War against Iran, Socialized Medicine (though Republicans will lie and say that their scheme is "Free Market"), open borders, to destroy civil liberties and turn America into a police state, and a "humanitarian" war against Sudan.

Both parties stand for the exact same things. Why is it that so many of their membership assumes that once the party in power is gone, that things will be better? Bill Clinton waged wars while he was president and George Bush has doubled the size of the Department of Education and passed the biggest new entitlement since LBJ. Are the partisans of the 2 parties as stupid as they appear to be, or are they just deceived into believing their party's rhetoric?

My half brother was a very successful businessman and amassed a fortune of about 600,000. The problem is years of physical, emotional, and even sexual abuse by his mother have caught up with him. He was diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder and has been for the time being been put in a psychiatric hospital for 6 weeks. Now his mother is trying to gain control of his estate even though my brother hasn't spoken to her in the past two years and by all accounts (from his friends) wanted nothing to do with her ever again. He is not married and she is claiming that even though they are estranged she has a right to draw from his bank accounts and use it for herself. My sister and I are trying to keep all of my brother's money out of her hands and keep it in the bank untill our brother gets better. My question is what rights does my brother have while he is in the institution. Can he really lose all his money? Do lawyers need to get involved? Please advise. Oh and we all live in

That's what Bob Jones of Bob Jones University says. And he has now given the thumbs up for Romney, even though he says that's a cult too.

I guess the right wing fundamentalists will do anything to keep the Democrats out of office.
