Who is responsible ?
The guy who shot
The weapon manufacturer
The NRA
The politician who licks the boots of the NRA to be elected

And who do you think deserve death penalty ?

2007-10-25 12:21:09 · 18 answers · asked by gabuzo 2 in Politics & Government Law Enforcement & Police

I notice that everybody would condemn the sinner but
No one condemn the manufacturer who got money,
Neither the NRA who get power
Nor the politician who gets money and power.
Funny, isn"t it ?
US have the world record of having 86 % of the world serial killers
For the same population, there is 6 times more armed robbery in US than in Europe and 12 times more who dies violently.
Any comment ?

"Who is responsible?" - The guy who shot
Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

"And who do you think deserve death penalty?" - None of the above, I oppose the death penalty.

Well if you don't like the answers you should have written the question better. You asked who is responsible. That is a rather finite question because responsibility lies with the shooter. Actually if you wanted to get more technical, he merely pulled the trigger and the bullets were "responsible" for the death.

You might want to go with culpable next time,

But even still, the manufacturer of the firearm made the guns for various reasons, all of which weren't to kill the kid. The NRA, is a organization that defends the 2nd ammendment from irrational people like yourself who would like to take guns from responsible people. And the politician, well the politician probably deserves it. However the fact that they may take money from the NRA doesn't make them "responsible" for anything. Least of make any of them responsible other then the shooter enough to warrant a death penalty. So your question has no merit, is worded wrong and just makes you look like a zealot.
Oh and by the way it takes Malice and Aforethought to prove Murder 1 which would be necessary in order to bring about the death penalty.

Oh and South America, Central America and Mexico have more incidents of serial killings, it just isn't reported in the way it is in "Civilized" countries that keep note of that. So basically you're just dumb.

The shooter deserves the death penalty.
Do you think that the car manufacturer is responsible when someone speeds and kills an innocent person?
Or maybe is the AAA responsible for helping the driver get a map to the area where the wreck occurred?
Or maybe is it the politician who voted for the tax breaks to get the manufacturer to move to the state and employ 100's or 1000's of people?
Most reasonable people understand that the person behind the wheel of the vehicle is responsible.

And cite your sources for your statistics...anyone can throw out numbers.

Why is it most people have no regard for prefacing their questions?
Are you asking if there is some type of weapon that has an ability to make an independent decision, on it's own, to shoot your kid?
By kid, do you mean your child or are you talking about a young goat?
Would it make a difference if it were a goat or a human?
Would this Automatic gun, you are refering to, be some kind of independently thinking robotic gun?
Nothing like that has been invented yet, as far as I know.
Now...If the question, you are asking, is:

If your child was shot by someone using an automatic weapon, who do I believe is responsible?
It would be the person making the decision to shoot.
As far as any death penalty is concerned, it would depend on weather your child was an innocent victim or if your child was behaving in such a manner as to make the shooter believe his life was being threatened.

How about this question?
If your kid is beat down by an automatic baseball bat?
Who do you believe is responsible ?

I believe the answer is simple.
The manufacturer of the baseball bat, of course!

Serial killers don't use firearms, I know I shouldn't let facts get in the way of your delusions, but I'll add only this: a firearm is only a tool no better nor no worse than the person using it.

Oh yeah, getting an automatic weapon in the US is pretty hard to do. Thanks to a 1986 law a private citizen can't purchase an automatic weapon newer than one that was produced in 1986. This translates into tens of thousands of dollars.

The shooter is responsible. No one put the gun in his/her hand and pulled the trigger. As for the death penalty - if there is no question who the shooter was and my child is gone because of that person - Yes.

The guy who pulled the trigger.
The NRA is innocent. They protect the rights of those of us that use our weapons responsibly and for sport (I am a hunter and a member of the NRA and firmly support our Constitutional right to bear arms).
The weapon manufacturer did not pull the trigger. But they did make fine weapons for our military - (and I do believe that it should be illegal to sell automatic weapons because I only need one bullet to the job, playing Rambo would only ruin perfectly good meat, so leave those just for the military and our police departments).
A smart politician would be able to satisfy both us gun owners and the liberal public by proposing just that.
Make automatics illegal to sell and pull them out of gun shops.
Make it illegal to purchase a gun
1) without a certificate of hunter's safety course
2) without a hunting license
3)without a background check.

Shooter - death penalty

Its still the shooters crime. If guns weren't here they'd use knives. If not for knives they'd use rocks. If not for rocks they'd use hands, feet and teeth. Murder has been happening long, long before guns were around.
