Everyone needs to wake up and stop worrying about if Britney Spears wore her underwear today or if Lindsay Lohan is out of rehab... I think this world has a lot BIGGER issues to be worried about, look at that you tube link, I think its important to be educated about.

australian troops training lasts for 4.5 months to 6 months, not best eqquipped though but very skilled. better trained than americans.
spec forces training lasts` for 18 months but they have to become a regular before joining so add that up ehich is 22.5 months. thats why they never die in iraq and afghanistan.

...and every lefty argument against conservatives boils down to "he's dumb". Are they going to figure out some day that people really don't buy it, or are they just too DUMB to come up with something new?

It appears that this Board is set up for a failing Liberal Party in Australia. When I ask questions pertaining to the Labor Party, Nothing untoward happens. Ask a question about the Liberal Party and You are in trouble. As Pauline Hanson says, "Please Explain".

If one says "I support the troops but not the war" is like saying "I support the homeless" but I won't let them live in my home.

Years ago when I was about 19 or 20 (and dumb) I had this stupid boyfriend, I had no clue he was on drugs but anyways, he forged 12 of my checks (all for about $12 ea). We lived in one county(say Orlando) but he cashed them in another (say Gainseville) he made them out to himself and cashed them at a cash checking place)

So I went to the police dept in Orlando and they said since they were cashed in Gainseville I have to go there. So I went to the nearest police dept to where they were cashed and they said since they were stolen in Orlando they have jurisdiction. I went back n forth about twice each. THEN the police in Orlando said since he lived with me and had access to the drawer where my checks were they cannot do anything..... the bank refused to do anything also.....

What should have happend? Just curious, this guy is history but I want to know what dept. did I have the right to file a report? Both places declined.

It has been a lifelong dream of mine to become a police officer. Some kids never grow out of it i guess. I was in the air force, kicked out because of "misconduct." This was 8 years ago, I am sure I have grown up since then. At this point, I drive a semi truck. I have kept myself out of trouble, with 2 whole traffic tickets over the pst decade. No I do not have a degree. Does anyone know of any PD's with somewhat not-so-stringent hiring requirements? I am sure I can pass the basics, written test, physical abilities, psychological with little problems, if any. But, its the background and my credit history to which is killing me im sure. Any ideas, someone please answer!! thanks in advance!

If a police officer places a suspect in a custodial situation before having been read his/her Miranda rights, what rights does the person have? For example, if a person is demanding to be informed as to why he is being arrested but the officers do not reply, does the person then have the right to resist arrest? I'm most interested in a discussion of the rights of peaceful, (registered) protesters.

It seems like they're always watching Fox news, reading Free Republic or Michelle Malkin, and listening to Savage and Limbaugh - waiting for something to call foul on.

I'm sure Rush thanks you for your ratings contributions that allow him to continue his show and be kept on the radio. In fact, I'm willing to bet, after the lame attempt to throw him under the bus, his ratings are higher than ever.

Doesn't it seem like the leftist PC police are always LOOKING for something to feel offended about?

My husband and I had a newborn baby which we were told had no claims against him and that all relatives had turned the baby down. We had him only one week when the court was petitioned by the aunt and uncle for custody. They were awarded visitation. Our agency provides a neutral meeting place for us because of our contractual agreement.Their attorney gave them our phone number and address even though we are listed as confidentilal parties on the legal documents.

We filed a complaint with the Bar Association but I need to know if there is any other action I can take against the attorney? The aunt has called me twice already.. I relinquished the baby to the agency for our own safety. She had no excuse as to why she would give our address to the relatives thus thwarting our hopes to adopt. The father has a bench warrant for his arrest for a former ticket.

I've already filed a complaint to the Bar Association but was wondering if anyone knew what else I could do. Thank you

I received a sample ballot for a special election yesterday. The election is for school board members and local community college board members.

I normally try to vote in every election, but I'm not sure about this one. I don't have kids in the school district, I don't attend the community college, I don't know anything about any of the people running for office, and I don't know anything about the issues at stake. Also, I don't know how much longer I will be living in the community.

In this situation would you still get out and vote?

I have been out of the Marine Corps for almost a year. I got out last time after having recurring injuries and I didn't want to sit there waiting to receive a package for injuries to I just got out. I can't really stand how boring civilian life is, I never got to do what I set out to do in the Marines, and college is unnerving so I want to go back. How long can I be out of the Marine Corps before I have to complete boot camp a second time? Its so mentally draining lol.
