My husband and I had a newborn baby which we were told had no claims against him and that all relatives had turned the baby down. We had him only one week when the court was petitioned by the aunt and uncle for custody. They were awarded visitation. Our agency provides a neutral meeting place for us because of our contractual agreement.Their attorney gave them our phone number and address even though we are listed as confidentilal parties on the legal documents.

We filed a complaint with the Bar Association but I need to know if there is any other action I can take against the attorney? The aunt has called me twice already.. I relinquished the baby to the agency for our own safety. She had no excuse as to why she would give our address to the relatives thus thwarting our hopes to adopt. The father has a bench warrant for his arrest for a former ticket.

I've already filed a complaint to the Bar Association but was wondering if anyone knew what else I could do. Thank you

You can make a civli suit on the laywer and ue the s.h.i.t. out of him!!!!!!!!!! that was all confidential info even if they did have vistation they still were not given permission to have your personal info, what if they came to try and take the baby? that was irresponcible of him and stupid he can loose his licens and be disbarred. go to the court house and see how to go about that!!!!!!! or you can talk to your lawyer.

Your atty should file proper motions to have denied visitation to them, and told the judge that this was a confidential matter.
Has your own atty been ethical with you...i just wonder
sometimes these attys "buddy up". ya know what I mean.
Has an appeal been filed. I say consult your atty asap.
also involve a psychologist or Dr. whom can testify in
court for you for the best intrests of the baby.

I am not sure, but I think that you could probably file a civil suit against him. You should probably consult another attorney for advice.
