Japan, had planned to deliver their formal declaration of war on December 7, 1941, prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor, but the embassy was late in delivering the declaration. We declared war on Japan on December 8. Although not bound by their treaty with Japan to do so, Germany declared war on the United States four days later. So yes, they declared war on us, before we declared war on them.

No. The Soviet Union stood in Germany's way. i won't be able to relatively see how Germany would have gained that conflict with out doing issues thoroughly in a distinct way. interior the Pacific, Japan became into already dropping in China. They knew the U. S. would not enable them to boost like that, so as that they struck first.

I was 5 when Japan attacked US at Pearl Harbor, I missed breakfast that morning because my parents were listening to the AM radio to Roosevelt declaring war on Japan. I said WHERE'S MY BREAKFAST! They said "shush we're at war! I said "What's War". So I went over to the Radio and listened live to that famous speech in person. We lived on a farm in West Texas Panhandle. Later they explained I probably wouldn't notice much in daily life. :)

Don't ask them to actually take a look at a history book.
You could look at it that way, considering they were an ally with Japan when America declared war on Japan.
