These people had health care insurance at the onset of there problems but lost it during their care. This could happen to anyone of us. Do you think this should be a priority for our country to come up with a better idea? And do you believe everything you hear about universal health care in other countries?

I find it interesting that media people keep quoting poll numbers about Congress and no one mentions this.

People are frustrated with Congress because of their blatant disregard for their duty to hold the President accountable for his deception and not upholding the rule of law that is found in our country's constitution!!!

And the Republicans use the low ratings as a plus for their party!?

Doesn't anyone else see this?

I recieved this email from my Step Mom, do you think it will happen?

Red Fridays.
Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the "silent majority." We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We are not organized, boisterous or overbearing. Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday -- and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that .... every red-blooded American who supports our men and women afar, will wear something red. By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United States on every Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers.

A recent question asked about Bill Clinton's status after Hillary is elected (should that be the case), and was met with a flood of crude, hateful, and bone-ignorant responses that alluded to his tryst with Monica.

Consider the fact that Bill was one of our greatest presidents, in that his decade of the '90s was the most peaceful and prosperous in American history. And consider the fact that the incident with Monica was one of two consenting adults, during their free time, in private, in Bill's legitimately-attained domicile... and thus was NO one else's business...

...I am nothing short of AMAZED at the level of ignorance it would take to WHINE about that. And that so **many** people who participate in here would lower themselves to such levels of mindless hatefulness. Thus -- my question, above.

for all that ills the nation just because they have been in control of government for quite a few years? They whine about record budget deficits, record trade deficits, record foreclosures, record influx of illegal aliens, record, record negative of the USA overseas, record dissatisfaction of the american people in their government, etc.... and blame it all on Bush and republicans. Don't they know that economies have their ups and downs and that the Great Bush economy could not last forever and that its only naturally there is a temporary hiccup? Geez, did you libs ever take any economics classes?

I should say i agree that the guy should be able to speak what he wants. This is a free country. Why is bush and republicans trying to rob Americans of their civil liberies?

Does saying this hurt you or make you uncomfortable? simply because the world hates Bush? Just becuase you want your freedoms ripped away, don't take ours.

"Taser this: F**k Bush."

Does that take Bush/ Iraq off the table as a compaign issue in 2008?
Hillary, Obama, Edwards, all would NOT make that promise.
Or does it open the door for someone that WILL pull them out?
Also, how will the far far left respond to this?

Thank You.

• Their President a dry drunk draft dodger pretending to be a "clear-eyed warrior" while he sends thousands to die.
• Their top radio "pundit"/ propagandist a hypocritical active drug user.
• Their top senators and representatives resigned in disgrace after soliciting strangers in public restrooms or bending over pages. (Foley and Craig in the last several months)
• Their templates of "Christian virtue", like Newt Gingrich, has admitted to cheating on his wife, in a marriage that ended in divorce because of it.

What gives? Is the "party that owns morality" in a state of implosion?

For me, it seems only logical that if you can ask a young man or woman to go and fight and risk their lives for the country, they should be able to enjoy a beverage at home with their friends and family.

However lowering the drinking age can only do more harm than good.

Many countries have no legal age for drinking but they don't have some of the issues we have. Maybe it's because there is a difference between cultures and societies.

What do you think?

Okay, a friend of mine hooked up with a guy from her job who happens to be an illegal immigrant from Mexico. He is using FAKE documents and he has become VERY PHYSICALLY ABUSIVE towards her. He has shoved her, slapped her and thrown objects at her like wrenches and spare tires. They have broken up and she changed jobs to get away from him but he won't leave her alone. I am not a snitch, but I do want to make sure that he doesn't do this to her or any other woman ever again. I would feel really guilty if I saw that he murdered some woman on the news and that I could of prevented it by turning him in.

Senator Larry Craig(R.Idahomo) has decide NOT to leave the Senate because,as he claims, he is innocent.

Maybe he is. I doubt it, but let's say he is.

I remeber a LOT of Republicans bragging about how intolerant they are, and they really wanted him out just because, he is, fact, probably gay.

He spent years preaching against and legislating against gays, using them, quite sociopathically I might add, as a political scapegoat. He may not have been genuinely honest with his constituency the way gay Democrats have been BUT

Isnt Craig in fact an asset to the GOP if he uses sexuality as a wedge issue? Because he "never did anything wrong"(wink)?

Arent wedge issues the thing with Republicans who know full well by their policies, 5-digit salary earners have no business voting for their pro big-business candidates? Hence the financial divide we have today?

I'm going to write an articule in school about police using the Tasers the way that they do. 240 people have died since the police force have gotten there tasers. Is there really a reason for this? The taser is supost to be an alternitive to guns and or pepper spray but I feel that this isn't the case. It's used as a weapon to instill fear in people. I'm pretty sure everyone has gotten them selves shocked at one point in there life. So we all know what it feels like. But imagine what it would be to have 50000 volts of eltricity going through your veins, to have you bodie give on you and not be able to move. Everyone has an intsinive fear of electrcution and the police are playing on that. These tazers are not used to make the world a better place they are used to force us into submission. Just the other day a friend of mine was telling me about a special ed girl that got Tazerd becasue she was getting "voilent". There are other means to get the girl to settle down.
