You are asking a question that most of our public school, liberal media informed public will not understand and will begin to panic since you have indicated that oil will run out. You have really done a major disservice to those of us who actually have a brain. You will cause the price of gas now to skyrocket. Don't you understand that many of the liberal drive-by media cruse these boards for their nightly news stories?
Ok to answer the question, why yes it does coincide with the year oil runs out.
Good question by the way.

The oil runs out everywhere else or in Iraq? Most people with a smattering of intelligence have figured out by now the oil companies in the US aren't reaping any benefits from the war in Iraq. In fact they wish Iraq would settle down so the prices of crude would decline.
Every day oil prices stay high increases the odds some conservative comes that much closer to finding a 'real' alternative to oil. I say conservative because a liberal 'expects' the government to do everything and frankly the government isn't in the inventing business.
The only people really making a killing in oil are the oil exporters, and the US isn't one of them. Oil companies may be showing huge profits but that is because people are buying more product. Their bottom line ROI is close to if not the lowest of any business. They are having to PAY more to get crude than any time in history. They can't make gasoline without crude.
The US government does NOT want to stay in Iraq. In fact we'd like to be out of there now. The only reason the liberals want the US out is so they will have more money to waste on THEIR projects. The difference between liberals projects and conservative projects is eventually conservative projects end, liberal projects just keep costing more and more.
I know this one won't get the best answer, but it contains more trues than your question.

Uhh , how much do you pay for gas where you live ? I pay 2.90 , that just went down from 3.10 . If you think this war is about oil , then why are we paying so much for it ? Come on use some common sense . The real reason were paying so much is because all these global warming freaks and enviromentalist that wont let us dig for oil in Alaska and other states that have been proven to have oil .

No but it will coincide for when Bush and Cheeney enter the workforce as extremely high-paid speakers for companies they gave no-bid contracts to!
It is unconscionable that no one is looking into the no-bid contracts given for political paybacks. It is Congress' duty to oversee the finances so they should be investigating it. It is not doing anything but what they should be doing. Of course to do so, we would need some honorable Lics (Republicans, they call Democrats, Dems-We call them Lics!) to stand with the Democrats and I fear that will not happen as they seem to be a bunch of sheep that still support this Administration no matter what the majority of their constituents think. Not an honorable one in the bunch!

There is so much more oil though and we only get 4% of our oil from Iraq anyways...
If that's the United States tactic, hungry for oil motives, then I guess we'd be invading Canada or even Alaska yes?
Because we don't even use our own oil.

there are two views on oil running out. one is that we'll never run out, the other estimates in about 100 years we'll run out.
in any case, there is no timeline for leaving Iraq. we will have permanent U.S. bases established in Iraq.

Yes. If you think we'll be there for another 20 years or so...
The timeline for leaving Iraq will be when they get their situation in order and can live in peace with each other and aren't blowing each other and the pipelines up...

The oil will not be running out in your or your children's lifetime or you children's children's lifetime. In fact, the free market will most likely have moved on to other sources of energy long before oil runs out.

no, the strategic placement of a merc dictatorship will keep control of the entire region. The five major rivers of the middle east flow through iraq. Water = power; our paid legions will remain in control indefinitely.

What?? There is no date for when oil runs out. It's a scare tactic that environmentalists use.
