BREWSTER - A 32-year-old Brewster man who police say is in the country illegally from Guatemala faces felony charges after sexually abusing two girls, ages 10 and 11, police said today.

Sergio Antonio Martinez-Garza is being held today at the Putnam County jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

However, even if he does post bond, he can't be released because federal immigration officials put a detainer warrant on him, ordering the jail to hold him pending possible deportation proceedings, police said.

Martinez-Garza, of 550 N. Main St., touched the girls' private parts at a residence in Brewster, police said.

Sheriff's investigators arrested him Sunday, charging him with two counts of second-degree engaging in the course of sexual conduct against a child, police said. The sheriff's department announced the arrest today.

Martinez-Garza was arraigned Sunday before Village Justice Richard O'Rourke and is due back in court on Sept. 10.

That is the same date that two other village men in the country illegally are due to appear in Village Court to answer statutory rape charges. Police allege that Pedro Sagastume, 21, and Jeremias Perez, 22, had sex with two girls, 13 and 15, in the men's apartment at 167 Main St. The two men have been held on $50,000 bail since their July 15 arrests.

Police said the girls allegedly victimized by Martinez-Garza were not physically injured and were referred to Child Protective Services. Martinez-Garza and the girls knew each other and, police said, the crimes were not random acts.

After the arrest, sheriff's investigators identified Martinez-Garza as Guatemalan allegedly in the country illegally and notified federal immigration officials and the Guatemalan consulate that he is being held at the Putnam jail, police said.

I really want to be a pilot, but I don't think I'm going to meet the standards. What does the Air Force do? Do you have to undergo parachute training? What are ways being discharged from the military? If that doesn't work out, should I be a professor or stick with being a pilot?

Richardson/Kucinch
Why?
because hilary is too intent on self preservation.
She wont make those integrity filled decisions, but would rather calculate whats best for her political future FIRST.

Obama, has not proven himself to america.
And for him to think, that he could come out of nowhere, and american should embrace him, instead of proving himself in the senate -- means hes too ambitous for himself and for the good of america.

John Kerry -- an opportunist plain and simple. We dont need no hedge funds here pal.

BUT both Richardson and Kusinich have PROVEN they are willing to fight for America!
They have shown results, and capability with understanding America needs change

Thats what america needs...someone to do the right thing, someone to do whats needed.
Not someone whos going to wait till the last minute to vote the best vote that would make them appear the best.

We need men of action!!!
Richardson and/or Kusinich in 08!!!

For example, what types of requests can you get from your subordinates.

Its employees donated over $150,000 toward his candidacy. According to AP writers M Glover and J Kuhnhenn and the Washington Post, he claims to have been unaware this hedge fund was connected to sub prime lenders Green Tree Servicing and National Mortgage. Now that the Wall Street Journal has identified 34 New Orleans homes they are in the process of foreclosing on, is this a form of accepting special interest money? He is the antipoverty candidate? He says he will sell his investment in this Fortress Group. Should he give back the contributions and consulting fees?

Companies like Tyson, and General Mills, and others, go to Mexico to recruit employees to come here legally, so they can work "jobs Americans" don't want" are paid above minimum wages and pay no income tax for the first 5 years. Yet, I know many Americans who would take such jobs, but they are given to Legal immigrants and ILLEGAL immigrants too. So, We, Americans, lose 2 ways.

Why cant we see peoplefor what they really are, mexican black asian.
What it all comes down to is you have someone trying to make a better life for themself.
Feed their family, get a chance to start a family.
Work hard and do good things.

Why is that somethign people are so easy to take away from others?

It just shows how uncompassionate and black hearted some people choose to be.
If mexicans are crossign our borders and commiting crimes, then punish them accordingly.
make is so they never come back.

but if all they want to do is work hard and provide for their familes, than as people -- not just americans, we should be sympathetic to that cause.

because remember -- GOD could have so easily made us an immigrant in a 3rd worldcountry.
So maybe we owe it to HIM, to treat others as we would want to be treated.

you think?

There’s a part in my book where some American GI’s are about to attack a village containing NVA. In the book the first thing they do is attack the village with RPG’s. When they move in on the village they find people burned and seared together from the attack.

First, did they have RPG’s in Vietnam?
Second, would a grenade attack burn and sear people?

If not, could you give me some info on what I should use in place of this?

Thank you so much for the help.

I was involved in an accident in May. It was not my fault. I was hit by a 17 year old boy. 3 out of 4 of the passengers in my car, including myself...were taken to the hospital in ambulances. One of my passengers required surgery on his leg. I had back and neck injuries. My car was totaled. I got a lawyer, and the lawyer got me a settlement for my car. We are now in the stage of getting a settlement on the medical stuff, including pain and suffering. I was wondering if anyone has gone through this, and how much you settled for? To be honest I have no idea whats a fair amount to ask for, or how much people usually get when things like this occur. Any input and answers would be appreciated! The lawyers get 33% of anything I recieve.

Its about a Ministry of Defence worker (typist) who got repetetive strain injury to her thumb through TYPING and got nearly half a MILLION quid compensation while the armed forces (also employed by the MOD) can be severely disabled or even killed serving their country and cannot expect anything close to that amount.
The petition is to the government to get armed forces personnel on the same level as MOD civillian employees when it comes to issues such as injury. How can someone strain their thumb and deserve nearly half a million quid yet a soldier loose a leg and get virtually nothing.
If you agree then sign up and forward this on........
