First of all, look at where you're getting your information: The Huffington Post (a far left website); the Las Vegas Sun (a far left paper). Comparing the Tea Parties to 'brownshirts' is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. The idea of the Tea Party movement has come from the Boston Tea Party back in the 18th century where people in this country were being taxed without representation. We are not being heard by our representatives. Most polls had 55% of the people against this form of health care reform and yet they passed it anyway. That's what we're angry about. Let's get back to governing based on the Constitution the way the Founding Fathers wanted it. As for the RNC sex club thing, the person involved was an RNC staffer and they were fired almost immediately. Please read something that isn't as biased such as the Wall Street Journal. You might actually get something out of it.

Take your pick. 535 definitely.
100 Senate
435 House
But there are:
3 non voting delegates
1 commissioner

"The House of Representatives has 435 voting members, each representing a congressional district and serving a two-year term. House seats are apportioned among the states on the basis of population. American Samoa, the District of Columbia, Guam, and the United States Virgin Islands send non-voting delegates to the House; Puerto Rico sends a non-voting Resident Commissioner who serves a four-year term; and the Northern Mariana Islands are not represented. The Senate has 100 members serving staggered six-year terms."

If you want to get technical, there are more than 535 "seats" if by "seats" you mean actual chairs.
