Bugged in MN - you're the typical Republican moron. No one said anything about sex ed in kindergarten.

They can't. Many Republicans concern themselves with life in the womb but have little concern for life outside the womb.

And BuggedinMN, it is Obama, not Osama. Lay off the KoolAde.

I am pro-life, in the strictest sense - conception until death, not conception until birth. I am also pro-sex-ed (not abstinence-only either), starting at the age when girls are able to conceive (around 12) and pro-birth-control, including RU486.

Republicans, in general, tend to fear and belittle anything that deviates from their cozy little black-and-white world.

I do believe, however, that the best place for children to leard about sex and contraception is at home, from their parents, not in a public environment (you know - "The Talk"). Most parents nowadays are either too lazy, too busy, or too ignorant to be bothered.

On a site with so much juvenile sniping from the left and right, I just want to say that I think this is an excellent, refreshingly thoughtful question. My understanding is that this combination of principles is endorsed by the Catholic clergy mostly for the purposes of making lots of Catholic babies. Turns out it's pretty effective. Unfortunately, since the ever growing problem of overpopulation doesn't seem to be doing much to change this mindset among Catholics or others with similar agendas it may eventually render us extinct.

How can you know for sure what your children are being taught in school? Stay at the school and listen to the teacher teach them? What if your child is exposed to situtations that you don't want them to experience? What if your child learns harmful words and then puts them into action? What if they teach them other harmful things such as drugs?

If they want to teach the children about sex ed, teach them what the Bible says, it's the best advice and help they can get, and it won't damage their cognitive processes in the least, it's the BEST!

Secondly, Why should a woman be able to Murder her baby because he/she is "inconvenient"??? At the present moment, 4,000 innocent little babies PER DAY are being Murdered purely for convenience!!! Over 50 MILLION and counting, and Liberals are supporting this Holocaust!!!!!

America is going down fast, because we're allowing the bad to continue drive the wedge even further, and one day we will fall!!

God help this Nation, and may God have mercy on those souls who do these disgraceful acts of sin!!!

What I also wonder about is why are those people who are against abortion also not willing to pay the medical expenses for the child of a poor person.

edit for bugged in mn
Sounds like you think sex should only be practiced by the middle-class or the wealthy. I know of several people who conceived a child even with the use of protection. I have grandson who proves contraceptives don't always work. Conceiving a child doesn't alway equate to irresponsibility.

Sex education? Many parents want to teach their children on their own. Not have some stranger teaching their children something that may be contrary to what the parents believe. Some parents teach by example. We aren't all mechanical.

Birth Control? Parents should always know what a child 17 years and under is up to. If it is your child, for crying out loud, at least know where they are and who they are with, at all times.

Abortion? Abortion used as a means of birth control is murder. Enough said.

Parents? Take responsibility for your children and don't expect the world to do it for you.

At least you think they are. I'm a republican and I'm only against abortion/murder. Most people who are against the others would just rather teach that to their kids themselves rather than the government doing it. Personal beliefs come into play and free people should be allowed to chose certain things for themselves.

Because the true republican has morals and doesn't go around sleeping with everyone. Believes abortion is murder and is just an easy way out for unresponsible people to cover up for their mistakes.

Republicans are not against any of what you said.

What we are against is some retard in a black robe making up crap that is not in the Constitution.

We are also against the Government, i.e. schools, teaching our children about sex, i.e. it is great to have gay sex in a public bathroom.

Keep your filthy perversions away from us and our kids and you won't hear a peep from us.

Why do you have to be against anything. Maybe these horrible Republicans are simply in favor of responsibility. Why is it so hard for you people to grasp that responsible people have responsible sex and don't need abortions. Responsible people raise responsible kids who know about sex and act responsibly and don't need some 23 year old liberal educated know-nothing teacher telling their kids about sex.

Sex education worked when the parents taught the children. Not when some liberal teacher who is probably having sex with one of her 13 year old students tells these 12 year olds "its ok to have sex". That seems to be the extent of public school sex ed. Its not ok for a 12 year old or 14 or 16 year old to have sex. We have become a society that allows people to do whatever they want with basically zero consequences.

Its not about abortion, which in many cases is necessary, its not about birth control (the only people against that are Catholics and they by and large are not Republican), its about responsibility which you leftists want to excuse everyone from and Conservatives want to hold them too.

That is the fundamental difference between Conservaties and leftists. Responsibility vs no responsibility.

Leftist: Don't wanna work, made bad choices in your free education had sex at 14 and got knocked up thats ok will pay for you to live.

Oh you had unprotected irresponsible sex and you don't want to take care of a child thats ok just whack it.

Conservative: Made a mistake - FRICKIN DEAL WITH IT!
Dealing with our mistakes is what gives us character.

GET SOME FRICKIN CHARACTER!!!

The unspoken and covert agenda is that of compulsory celibacy for all, except the well-off.

P.S. Responsible behavior is learned. Something that is learned is usually taught by someone in the community or something in the cultural environment.
