Whoever told you its LEGAL for them to smoke is a liar. Its NOT!

You are mistaken. It is not legal for teens to buy cigarettes. Also illegal for them to smoke if younger than 18.
We have stupid laws when they can have you carry a gun in military service, shoot at people and be shot at, all at 18 years old while they make it illegal for you to drink until 21.

In some states its legal to drink if your under 21, that is if your on your own property and you under supervision of an adult over 21 or your parents.

It is not legal for teens to posses cigarettes (or other tobacco products). The law may not specifically address usage, however you have to posses to use.
