My 15 y/o daughter is being stalked/harrased by a boy in her school. He calls her cell phone numerous times everyday, but he blocks his phone number so that we can't see it's him. Is there a way to get the number that he is calling from? Will the telephone company give me that information? Please help, as I do not know what to do at this point.
This boy is dangerous and has been in and out of Juvie for the last several years. He's had numerous sexual harrasment charges filed against him, from many different girls. I'm concerned for my daughter safety but I'm not sure what to do. BTW we live in Texas, if that matters at all.

Write to your city government and urge it to provide full funding for citizen review of police officers accused of human rights violations. If your city, county, or town does not have citizen review of your police, call for the creation of an effective civilian review unit. Police officials should do a better job at holding officers accountable if there is community pressure and knowledge about police investigations and disciplinary actions.

Write to your city government and urge it to require your police department to create and utilize "early warning" or "at-risk" systems to identify officers who are the subjects of repeated complaints or civil lawsuits alleging misconduct. A small percentage of officers often taint an entire police force because police superiors do not act to hold them accountable by supervising, disciplining, or dismissing them when appropriate. An effective early warning system could make a difference.

Write to your state legislators and governor urging the creating of a special prosecutor's office to handle the investigation and prosecution of police officers accused of brutality or corruption. As it is, local prosecutors are often reluctant to pursue cases against officers they typically work with, and federal prosecutors are under-staffed and similarly reluctant. Special prosecutors' offices in each state could go a long way toward prosecuting officers who commit criminal offenses; in turn, effective prosecution should act as a deterrent for officers who now believe they can avoid criminal prosecution for brutality in most cases.

Write to your U.S. Representative or Senators, urging them to condition federal funding to police departments on those departments' reporting on incidents of excessive force by their officers and on respect for human rights. Specifically, federal assistance should be conditioned upon the recipient police department providing data on excessive force to the Justice Department. In 1994, the Justice Department was instructed by Congress to produce an annual report on excessive force used by police, yet four years later no such report exists. Federal aid should also be conditioned on the development of an effective "early warning" system to identify "repeat offenders" on the force. Furthermore, any police department the Justice Department determines as exhibiting a "pattern or practice"of abuse and which fails to implement reforms as agreed to with the Justice Department should have all federal aid terminated. Just as the U.S. is supposed to condition foreign military and other assistance on a country's human rights record, the federal government should not provide assistance to departments where officers are allowed to commit abuses with impunity.

The US spent 25 billions in the 70`s to 80`s on this project (star wars program), and now that we hear talks for the Nuclear shield, I wonder if it means that the project has revived, knowing that it was expected to cost 1 trillionUSD to make it works... Read the following about this project:

Project Excalibur was a United States government nuclear weapons research program. Conceived by Edward Teller, the concept involved packing large numbers of expendable x-ray lasers into a nuclear bomb. When it detonated, the bomb would fire laser beams in many directions. The intention was to shoot down enemy nuclear missiles.

The plan was to place the whole apparatus on a satellite in orbit. It would have actually required many satellites in orbit, since there needed to be at least one between the US an its enemies when a massive launch of ICBMs occurred. The Soviet Union was the only foe technologically able to accomplish a massive simultaneous launch.

The x-ray laser gain media would be pumped by the extremely high density of high energy photons that appear in the first nano-seconds of a nuclear detonation. During these nano-seconds, the photon density is nearly as high as in regular matter. The calculations showed that the extremely high gain and high energy pulse discharge from the lasers would occur before the detonation destroyed the lasers and the rest of the satellite. If the lasers had be pre-aligned to point at the missiles, then a large number of the missiles could be destroyed in one fell swoop.

The project was proposed as a solution to the vexing problem: if a large nearly simultaneous launch of ICBMs occurred, the Space Based Laser could not destroy them all, since it was designed to fire upon one at a time. It was also felt that the large optics of the SBL could not be re-positioned to point from one missile to the next quickly enough. A considerable amount of research went into rapidly re-targeting the Space Based Laser so that many missiles could be destroyed in time to deal with the massive attack. However, it remained out of reach, giving rise to the Excalibur approach, which was viewed as something of a desperate approach even by those who worked on the project.

The project was abandoned in the 1980s when it was determined to be out of reach of current technology. Since then, its main influence has been its appearances in science fiction. Research was redirected to laser satellites and kinetic weapons under the Strategic Defense Initiative.

I believe that if you live in America you should speak English. I wrote to my senator and this is his response:
Thank you for contacting me about H.R. 769, the National Language Act of 2007. I appreciate that you took the time to share your thoughts with me. The National Language Act of 2007 would establish English as the official language of the United States of America. This legislation would prohibit the use of languages other than English for official purposes other than religious activities and foreign language classes.
I am working in Congress to bring people together and not to divide our society. It is a fundamental value of our society that we respect and appreciate the diversity of American Society. While I strongly favor those who wish to become citizens learning American English, creating a national language would create a larger divide between English-speaking and non-English-speaking citizens. We must ensure that everyone in this country is afforded equal opportunity

differently...I think people would not commit as many crimes if we would punsih them an eye for an eye.....and a tooth for a tooth. For instance you shoot someone than you get shot...you rape then you get raped...etc. People may look at commiting crimes differently.

I was crossing the border and I gave them my driver’s license and the border patrol started asking me all these weird history questions,. I did not understand what questions he was asking me and I told him I don’t know, and he said I had an accent so he took me to a few other border patrol officers and he gave them my drivers license. And they all started questioning me, like how long I lived in California, where was I born, what school and I’m going to, etc. I told them the truth and I told them I was born in California, and going to a community college and one of border patrol said I was lying and demanded that I tell him the truth of who I really am. He ask for my Social Security number and he look me up but he could not find my information. So after 15 min, he told me I can go.

In 1985, two Portland officers were reinstated by an arbitrator after they were fired for selling "Don't Choke `Em, Smoke `Em" t-shirts on the day of the funeral of Lloyd "Tony" Stevenson, who reportedly had been killed by a police chokehold.

According to press reports, between mid-1989 and mid-1991, training was canceled by police officials because they did not want to take officers off the streets.2 There was no training on firearms or on tactics in dealing with combative subjects. Police officers went fourteen months without firearms qualification tests, even as the department switched to high-capacity semi-automatic weapons. The more advanced weaponry was supposed to be used in response to violent gangs in the city, but instead some officers used the guns on the mentally ill and drug suspects who did not comply with their commands.3

I'm not talking about raiding a workplace, where the employer is required to keep paperwork on each employee. I'm talking about arresting and deporting individuals, sometimes from their homes. In the US, people aren't required to carry paperwork or ID to prove their legal status. So how do they find illegal immigrants, other than workplace raids?

Knowledgeable answers only, please. I'm not interested in your off the cuff speculaton; I can do that for myself.

I understand that illegal immigration is complex, but it is not as complex as the politicians in Washington want to make it appear. We support legal immigration. We oppose illegal immigration. To call those who oppose amnesty and illegal immigration bigots is beyond ridiculous! And if they cannot understand that, we need some new leaders in Washington. I think congress is trying to make this more complicated than it is to divide us further..........but I think both sides will hold firm-thoughts?
