The presidency has been run by women before...

Just as in most households.. who really controls the show?

I still have a copy of a political cartoon making fun of Nancy Regan putting words into Ron's mouth.

They said the same thing about hillary controlling bill... Go back farther and you will find other first ladies that had personalities more dominant than their husbands...

Look back at the history of the first ladies... The first one, Dolly Madison was the only private citizen (much less a woman) to be allowed to sit in on Congress, on the congressional floor, while it was in session.

Edith Wilson, Wife of Woodrow Wilson, has been reffered by some historians as the First Female President of the United States. After Woodrow's stroke in 1919, Edith TOOK OVER most of the routine duties and details of the presidency. She opposed allowing the vice president to assume the powers of the presidency. "She selected matters for her husband's attention and let everything else go to the heads of departments or remain in abeyance. "

The presidents spouse, imo, is just as important as the president themselves. If it is a loving marriage, where both parties respect the other's opinions, both of the partners share in the decision.

Some first ladies are sounding boards, ideas tossed out mixed with pillow talk.

Funny and offensive all at once.

The Presidency is a job for the individual best equipped to run the Executive Branch, direct foreign policy, and serve as Commander in Chief.

The Presidency is *NOT* for the best "activist" with the best agenda regarding the "issues."

One thing your right about, John Edwards in *NOT* a good candidate for president.

Yes, it's a man's or a woman's job. But it is not a job for a child, or a man with an underdeveloped brain. Does this explains to you the reason why GWB has messed up as bad as he has?

if the Presidency is a man's job, then Hillary has a way better shot than Edwards in getting in.

It also explains why Kerry didn't win too.

No.

There's no reason a woman is disqualified by virtue of being a woman.

John Edwards doesn't think he's fooling anyone; but whoever told you he's a woman has fooled you.

Not necessarily, although men are alledged to make decisions based more on facts and less on personal emotions. Women , as most men know, are more emotional and it's feared a woman would make a wrong decision based too much on emotion and not always fact/common sense, that could negativly effect a lot of innocent American people.

Whats funnier is the people weakly trying to turn it around at Dubya. Actually its not funny, its really sad.

Come on... rag on the Prez if you want but at least be funny...
