Can we use the lesson of Vietnam and the existing goodwill of the Vietnamese people to the US in spite of what we did there there? Is it because so many Vietnamese people have cousins and brothers who are also Americans?

When are WE THE PEOPLE going to be heard?

We want a fence - not a dreamer’s toy. We want our tax dollars spent wisely - not on croney contracts.

Multi-billions - meaning 3-5 could have placed 250-380 miles of new secure fencing on the border.

This is ridiculous. A fence with motion detectors would catch more people than the occasional drone.
Is the DHS out to lunch?http://www.corpwatch.org/article.php?id=14552
A new predator is on the horizon. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued task orders to physically and electronically seal this stretch of the desert under a multi-billion dollar contract named the Secure Border Initiative Net (SBInet) to curb the flow of undocumented immigrants, drugs, and potential terrorists by 2013. This first $20 million pilot phase, which is named Project 28 after the length of this part of the desert that it is supposed to cover, was to be completed by mid-June 2007.

The subsidiary that makes these weapons -- Boeing Integrated Defense Systems Unit -- will try to achieve what previous border surveillance programs like America's Shield Initiative, Border and Transportation Security Network, and others have failed to do so far: create a mix of infrastructure, technology and personnel that will make the border impermeable.

they don't need government intnervention in their lives at all. Minimum government is the definition of LIBERTY.

Minimum government governing a people WITHOUT morality results in anarchy and chaos, not liberty.

We tried to bring liberty to Iraq, but the people there can't implement it, nor can they sustain it.

When we involved ourselves in Iraq to depose Saddam and bring liberty to a heathen people, we embarked on a fools errand.

The only clear voice of reason in the clogged field of presidential aspirants is Ron Paul who wants to restore constitutional liberties here in the US where we can sustain it, and cut our losses in Iraq before we give away the store.

How many of you see it this way?

I am 20 years old now and have HS diploma and pretty soon an AA degree in criminal justice. I have about 6 certificates regarding the field and one scholarship given to me by the LAPD. Also I have a President's award from my college along with 3 Dean's List awards. BUT I did do bad things when I was younger. I tried weed 3 times(2001, 2001, 2005) cocaine twice (2005), and meth (late 2004) once. I also got fired once from a job for very stupid reason which did not include misconduct or failure to work well, I was also forced to resign from one for a comment I made of a supervisor, I said he might be gay. I do have a battery misdemeanor which has been expunged and sealed. I was 17 when it happened but I believe it was dismissed because I completed anger management and community service hours. My credit is excellent just a few late payments but thats it. What are my chances??? I also shoplifted a couple of times when I was 17 and 18 but no one knows about it.

It makes me sick, be happy for what you have and where you live. If you aren't happy apply for citizenship in another country. Complaining will not make this country better, actions will.
