Can we use the lesson of Vietnam and the existing goodwill of the Vietnamese people to the US in spite of what we did there there? Is it because so many Vietnamese people have cousins and brothers who are also Americans?

Yes. If we're going to abandon our allies again, like we did in Vietnam, we should at least take in those who most directly 'collaborated' with us, who would otherwise face terrible reprisal when we are gone - and, we should learn from the Fall of Saigon and the plight of the Boat People that followed, and do more of that 'up front,' rather than leaving them to make thier own desperate way to safety.

That was then...this is NOW. Catholic and Buddist and Chinese Vietnamese are very DIFFERENT from Muslims who are required by their religion to take over whichever country is foolish enough to allow them in.
If we do so...that will finish us off quicker than this amnesty deal ever would. We will give sanctuary to the enemy. Immigration officials and Ted Kennedy all share the same room temp IQ for allowing Muslims in the first place.
They have proven themselves unsuitable citizens for any but Muslim countries and not even all of them. Sad how one fellow can start so much trouble by "ralking to the angel,"Gabriel".

These people only want a better life,they have no homes,relatives are dead,the war is destroying the country,it's time the people from Mexico here illegally give other people a chance when their lives are far greater danger than those from Mexico and return to Mexico.Others need a better life far greater than all of Mexico

Yes. Many of these people worked for the coalition forces. Their lives aren't worth a nickel if they remain in Iraq. I'd accept way more than 7000.

I'd much rather have the Iraquis than the Mexicans any day. Mexicans are a useless drain on the taxpayers. Sterilization should be mandatory for all mexicans who want to live in USA.

let other countries solve their own internal issues
only when we are attacked...strike back...but use atomic weapons.....no more police action BS.......if we are going to fight, we fight to kill............so if we are pushed to a fight, dont place emphasis on BS resolutions and halfass border agreements..................kill a very large number...warn the rest...if they attack us....they die also
