When are WE THE PEOPLE going to be heard?

We want a fence - not a dreamer’s toy. We want our tax dollars spent wisely - not on croney contracts.

Multi-billions - meaning 3-5 could have placed 250-380 miles of new secure fencing on the border.

This is ridiculous. A fence with motion detectors would catch more people than the occasional drone.

A new predator is on the horizon. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued task orders to physically and electronically seal this stretch of the desert under a multi-billion dollar contract named the Secure Border Initiative Net (SBInet) to curb the flow of undocumented immigrants, drugs, and potential terrorists by 2013. This first $20 million pilot phase, which is named Project 28 after the length of this part of the desert that it is supposed to cover, was to be completed by mid-June 2007.

The subsidiary that makes these weapons -- Boeing Integrated Defense Systems Unit -- will try to achieve what previous border surveillance programs like America's Shield Initiative, Border and Transportation Security Network, and others have failed to do so far: create a mix of infrastructure, technology and personnel that will make the border impermeable.

We will be heard again. The people that we voted into office know that many of them are now walking on egg shells with combat boots on. Their days are limited and when they started getting sent home for not listening to the American people. Only then will the rest of them shape up and start fighting for us Americans!!

I like Linda S's idea. Lets build a prison using illegal imagrants along the entire border of Mexico. The fence will not only keep illegals from crossing but we can house those that are already here, there.

Then send Mexico the bill for not keeping there own in there own country. Why the heck should I have to pay for someone who is here illegally. Isn't it against the law in Mexico to leave the country without the proper papers?

Well it is in this country and ship every illegal alien back with a bill pinned on their back.

The people are being heard. Just not you people. I abhor the comments like what you have made. Just because your not getting what you want doesn't mean all the people are not getting what they want.

The government is listening, while not perfect it is pretty darn good, and just because you think everyone should agree with you, you lump yourself into the people and start crying that nobodys listening. Trust me they are listening, to me, not you.

I have a great life, everything I could hope to have, and if my government wants to try out a few things or sees something that we might need, I say go for it, if it doesn't work out well then we will find another way. I make mistakes too, and I will allow my government some freedom to make some too. Holding them to a higher standard than you hold yourself is what is causing so many of the problems today.

Please define clearly....wo is WE the people???
To which minority do you belong?
(there is NOT an USA citizen that does not belong to ONE)
The fence, should measure not 7 meter high , but 7,000 so we dont receive the cold winds from the north, nor heath waves......
As far as I am concerned, you can put 300,000 volts and more in your beloved fence....and make it as long as the boder....who cares...
What about the coasts?...The sea should be shielded too (mexican naval hughe destroyers and plane carriers, also submarines may invade it,, with slings, stones, bows and arrows....,)
The paranoia is costly (ask that to your shrink)............
I am a german nationalized Mexican ever since childhood...
You can defend your country in ANY way you may feel comfortable with......fences, guns, dogs police,...shooting illegals at the border....
Dont ask us to like you....You cant

If the politicians were scared of a few illegals marching in the streets they better be really afraid at the next election ! The crimes the have committed on the American people are far greater than the tax imposed at the Boston Tea Party, far greater than the crimes committed by the French Government that set off the French Revolution, etc. Stand up and fight Americans or lie down and be trampled by Illegal immigrants and terrorists. It is now your own soil you must defend !!!!!!!!

We are being heard, but some in the Senate want to dance around with their hands over their ears and chant.."Nananana, I can't hear you." They will hear the echoes of the election returns in their nightmares for the rest of their lives when the voters send them packing.
Keep writing, faxing and calling your elected officials. Keep the heat on. Keep the volume all the way up until WE THE PEOPLE get what we WANT...a secure nation for citizens
and legal immigrants only.

NEVER!! all DEMS and GOPS have been bought and paid for like never before; only voter turnout can overcome the massive amounts of money the lobbyists are spending; only when the current policies, which are opposed by the majority of the citizenry, become more than voters can take will the elected thieves respond to the people; and don't think they are not thieves.

All of this is just another way for the government to fleece the American people like been doing from the beginning. America is one of the greatest countries but sometimes can be the dumbest. Depending on whose in office and how much money they want.

Hereford, AZ - Oct. 10 -- A young American was attacked by two illegal aliens in a school parking lot just north of the Mexican border Tuesday evening. Tyler Goodman had stopped at the school at 7:30 p.m. to get water for his overheating car when a Mexican knocked him to the ground and started choking him. Only the arrival a school janitor saved him from being killed. The Mexicans stole his car. It was later recovered when the Border Patrol stopped the Mexicans at a checkpoint.

This is so simple. The Feds need to turn this problem over to the local police. They should be allowed to pick up the illegal at their "looking for work" points, and they should then be turned over to the military and sent to Iraq. So, they can't speak Arabic. Neither can our troops. Put them to work for America. That's what they are her for!
