Why is it so hard for you conservatives to understand that bashing Bush is not bashing America? We believe in America and in the Constitution and we want a President who follows the Constitution and doesn't want to change it to meet his extremist agenda. That's not too much to ask.
"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else."
-- Theodore Roosevelt in the Kansas City Star, 149
May 7, 1918
When was the last time we had a President that honest and conscientious? Oh, and wipe off the froth, Kyle. You're bashing Americans too. What's the difference?

Dissent is patriotic. When the government bashes the CONSTITUTION we the people are supposed to not only speak out but kick the traitors @sses to kingdom come.
I am a moderate and a patriot. There are conservatives who hate what the government is doing as well. The Constitutional crisis we are facing is a non partisan problem! We should all be bashing our government right now, in order to protect AMERICA from being sold out to the highest bidder.

I absolutely agree with you. Rather than complaining, I helped organize the campaigns that gave Democrats a majority of both houses of Congress. Now I'm working to elect a Democratic president. I love my country, and I feel fortunate to live in a place where I can actually have some influence over the government. Assuming that people who disagree with you are somehow unpatriotic is about the most unamerican statement I can imagine.

Complaining IS action. It's the first step in action at least - it's trying to convince others. Why do you make a distinction between complaining and action? If somebody says "this is wrong" why is that somehow bashing America, while going to try to change that wrong is somehow good? Get over yourself. Americans have a fundamental right to complain. It's what makes us great. Get over yourself.

I've never actually seen anyone who is a liberal, or who represents any group of liberals, bash America.
I have seen them bash individuals who have committed crimes against America, and I have seen them question or challenge policies and decisions by American politicians.
But the president is not the country. Being against Bush is not the same as being against America. We made that distinction in the late 1700s when we decided not to be a monarchy.
You seem to be confusing the Country and the Constitution, both of which most liberals support, with certain individuals.

And this complaining makes America better how? Do you really think you've swayed any libs? You seem to be dissatisfied with the libs, who are a part of America, so you are complaining about America. What action have you taken to destroy libs?
