Should I wonder, or worry, or be at all reluctant?

Here is the premis taxes are a percentage of goods and services produce by the economy, GNP. For the sake of simplicity lets say the governtment is collecting 30% and the economy is a million dollars that is $300,000 right.

The following year the economy goes to 2 million at 30% didn't the government get a automatic 50% raise at $600,000 since the GNP is always going up why does the government have to raise taxes? just imagine if you had a agent who was making 10% of your earnings at a million dollars your agent is making $100,000 as your earning goes up say 5 million your agent is now making 1/2 a million most Americans would be levid if the agent wanted 20% after you started to make 5 million. because he is already getting a automatic increase as your earing increase. This is how I came to this conclusion any flaw in this logic.

He claims that he does not work for the Executive branch. If that is the case, the US taxpayers shouldn't have to pay his salary or that of his Executive staff and he should be kicked out of the White House.

This is a question for lawyers, particularly criminal defense lawyers. It's something I've been really curious about but I don't know anyone who might know the answer....

I hope it's OK to mention specific cases on here. I've followed the Michael Skakel case, and something's been bothering me about it.

As I understand it, he was charged with a crime that happened when he was 15. At the time the maximum penalty was something like 5 years in Juvenile lockup. Now he's 40 and since he can't be sent to Juvenile, when found guilty he was sentenced to 20 years.

My question is, isn't giving him such a harsh sentence a violation of his constitutional right against self-incrimination? It makes his punishment four or five times harsher than it would have been had he confessed at the time the crime was committed. No appeals have brought this up, so I don't know if it's valid or not.

I do believe he's guilty, but doesn't something just seem very unfair about the sentencing?

How do they help or hurt the other, or are they pretty much on the same page? Grant it, I understand their duties are the same as far as upholding the law. I only wonder if they conflict at all in the halls of courthouses or something like that...anything...because one works at the city level and the other works at state level? I hope you understand what I'm asking. Thanks!
