Here is the premis taxes are a percentage of goods and services produce by the economy, GNP. For the sake of simplicity lets say the governtment is collecting 30% and the economy is a million dollars that is $300,000 right.

The following year the economy goes to 2 million at 30% didn't the government get a automatic 50% raise at $600,000 since the GNP is always going up why does the government have to raise taxes? just imagine if you had a agent who was making 10% of your earnings at a million dollars your agent is making $100,000 as your earning goes up say 5 million your agent is now making 1/2 a million most Americans would be levid if the agent wanted 20% after you started to make 5 million. because he is already getting a automatic increase as your earing increase. This is how I came to this conclusion any flaw in this logic.

No, the members of Congress have a salary they don't get 'a cut' of the tax money.

To answer your question yes, but now apply your theory to gasoline taxes. In most areas some of the taxes are a "percentage" of the price of gasoline not a fixed number of "cents" per gallon. For instance California collects a base 7.25 % on a gallon of gasoline. So they have gotten a raise of $.0725 cents a gallon since the price went from $2 to $3 a gallon and yet they still cry about not having enough money for roads and want more taxes.

how is it "immoral" you don't really talk about "morality" and how this relates?

but the GNP isn't increasing 50 percent a year and expenses do sometimes increase by a much greater amount than the GNP rises... which would create a deficit... like say in a war or natural disaster or both... like say Katrina during the Iraq war...

ABSOLUTELY. this country got along fine until 1914 with NO income tax at all. bottom line here there is nothing wrong, illegal or immoral about giving me back more of what i legitimately earn. ill spend it and help the economy. try to get a liberal like the pelosi/reid regime to understand that ...they have already gone on record saying there is no choice but to raise taxes...i think you get my point.
