LOS ANGELES - All of her life, Zoila Meyer believed she was an American. She even won election to the City Council of Adelanto.

But now she is facing a threat of deportation for illegally voting, because she never became a citizen after being brought to this country from Cuba when she was 1 year old.

"To be honest with you, I'm scared. How can they just pluck me out of my family, my kids?" the 40-year-old mother of four said in a telephone interview Friday.

"If they can do this to me, they can do it to anybody," she said.

I had a passport when I was a kid, and never used it. Later in life, I was convicted of a non-violent felony (trafficking in MDMA (ecstasy)). I've done my sentence, all of my rights have been restored - other than possessing a gun. Can I still get a passport, and do I need to do anything "special" to get one?

I think some people are stupid enough to do that. No, don't say "how do you think George Bush got elected?" Ron Paul is not even a to tier candidate. He's just running for president as an ego boost. Please don't vote for the worst. Keep America the best...vote for the best.

By the way "Vote for the Worst" are the freaks that kept Sanjaya alive on American Idol. The people who vote for the worst candidate.

but how can they, when most of the illegal immigrants are poor and never had an opportunity for an education

to get a visa they either have to be rich or educated, but the illegals can bareley feed themseves back in Mexico.

They come to the US for work and a better life, they don't expect Americans to hand them anything, they come to earn money by doing some of the most rigorous, back breaking work.

Just to have Americans complain about immigrants taking their jobs, Would you really carry wood boxes full of vegetables in triple digit heat? or clean toilets for minimum wage? Even if you were willing to do it,soon you would demand higher wages and i'm not willing to pay $25 for a box of strawberries., that's what most Americans don't understand; higher wages = higher prices

and coming here is no picnic neither, they risk their lifes by cramming themselves in the back of a trailer or by crossing the desert, many have died already.

They do this because they have to.

A Mi. St. cop and a femail friend of his conspired to put me in jail on totally false charges. All charges were dropped the day before a jury trial, but it cost me a lot of money to prove my innacence even though the cop lied under oath and the judge ruled that it's OK for the police to lie under oath and make false statments (on police reports) and to suspects.
