Good question, my guess is Bush is very narrow minded and thus his definition of "terrorist" is narrow minded and un-informed. Guess the picture he paints in his bird brain of a Klansman differs greatly from the picture he has in his head of "Islamo fascist" so he doesn't consider the KKK a part of his "axis of evil",,although the KKK's actions are no different from any other terrorist organization. That is to terrorize and victimize innocent citizens who differ from the them.
Black Panthers were a group that was formed in response to the opressions and injustices,,they didn't go victimizing random citizens based on race or any other factor. They were simply group formed to have the voice of the under represented be heard. They may have reacted to being attakced but they were not a terrorist organization like the KKK.
If you look closely though, Bush maybe hestiant to call the KKK a "terrorist group" given that the ultra conservative Republican base and the KKK have a lot of similarities when it comes to their agendas.

PETA is more of a terrorist group than the KKK is anymore. The KKK just marches and preaches white supremacy without actually threatening, harming, or spreading terror among people.
PETA, on the other hand, fulfills all the requirements of a domestic terrorist group.

Because people in power like to keep their power since white men run most of this country, they like to stick together, so police don't get bothered and white politicians don't get bothered by the fact that these ducking psycho white people are preaching and acting on their racism, just helps support the systematic racism that helps support all of these leaders and politicians

The war on terrorism is a bumper sticker!
Read this article (written in 2003) and you will see why!
"As the media focus on international terror, a Texan pleads guilty to possessing a weapon of mass destruction."
"....Mr. Levitas goes even further: "The government has a severe case of tunnel vision when it comes to domestic terrorism. I have no doubt whatsoever that had Krar and his compatriots been Arab-Americans or linked to some violent Islamic fundamentalist group, we would have heard from John Ashcroft himself..."
http://www.csmonitor.com/2003/1229/p02s01-usju.html
If he was a Muslim then all of his rights would have been stripped away and that's the truth. You see how his attorney said that it looks worse than it is? If Krar was a Muslim then that statement would have never been said.

Historically, the KKK was the foremost example of Christian terrorist groups in the USA. Although they are still around, they don't instill the fear they once did.

Also Domestic Terrorist are US citizens and unfortunately still have constitutional rights, not like those caught overseas on the battlefield.

duh... they don't have oil
EDIT: I checked back up on this question because I thought it was a really good one (I starred it). Does anyone else realize that the neo-cons are trying to downplay the KKK as not a big deal? I saw a hidden camera thing where omseone went in to see if he wanted to join (but really was just getting the inside scoop on what really happens in the modern KKK), and members still say they'd die for there beliefs in the name of God. Hmm... sounds the exact same as some other terrorist groups.

You're right, all past and present members of the KKK, Black Panthers, Fruit of Islam, Crips, Bloods, Aryan Nation, and all other groups of idiots who terrorize U.S. civilians should be locked away.
You shouldn't single out one group based on race, that would be racist.
