People get pissed when the perceived they were back-stabbed as we have no policy, we govern by whim and our word, and our treaties have always been something to be broken!
We never kept one treaty with the American Indian. Not one! Guess that tells you who has no morals! And in that vain, we create enemies, not friends!
Osama is no different, other than he supposedly ordered the attack on 9/11, but no one really knows as there are no witnesses, and I strongly doubt we have an accurate version of that date (half the people 'hijackers' said to be on those planes by the FBI are alive and well), than others who were our "friends" and most often put in power by us. The Shaw of Iran the CIA put in by toppling an elected government in favor of the pro-oil Shaw, Castro, Saddam, and the list goes on!
People don't want to know the truth as I suspect they know in their gut what it is.
No 757-200 ever hit the Pentagon. Impossible, and not one picture of that 100 ton, as long as 1/2 football field beast, produced in 5 years by the FBI! Why are they hiding behind "Top Secret"? Could it be because their was no plane? I never saw one, eyewitnesses never saw one, the media never saw one, and those 10 ton each titanium Rolls-Royce engines evaporated, but the bodies didn't! That one really doesn't fit!
The Bush's have always been close to the bin Ladens. We even gave them the money to build those damn holes in the ground they were using!

Bin Laden was not trained at the School of the Americas (now called the Institute for Hemispheric Cooperation). There are plenty of atrocities that we lay on the so called School of Assassins, but not this one.
Bin Laden and a number of other less than savory folks did receive some training and aid from the CIA during the Soviet War in Afghanistan under the idea of the "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." The Soviet Union was our biggest enemy back then. This is not an uncommon practice in the conduct of foreign policy.
The CIA term for the unintended consequences of conducting foreign policy this way, ie, the arming and training of scum is called "blowback."
Bin Laden is perhaps the biggest and perhaps best know example of blowback. However, if you look at the history of events in Latin America over the last 80 years you will find many examples of blowback on different scales, some of which relate to the illegal drug trade, some which relate to the US support of mass murder which we nicely call "extra-judicial killings" in foreign policy speak.
There was no conspiracy. There was no crime.
Now is it good foreign policy? Clearly, in this case probably not. However, if you only deal with the good guys its questionable whether or not you can get the intelligence that you need. The rules of covert ops are gray and complicated.
Cantcu -- I know people who looked out their windows and saw the plane hit the Pentagon. I saw the wreckage. It happened. You have no first hand knowledge that it didn't. I have first hand knowledge that it did.

So far every researcher has determined that the CIA and Bin Laden had nothing to do with each other.
And the claim that the Bush family and Bin Laden family had business relations with each other falls apart when you consider that they were each in different industries that had nothing to do with each other.
And your claim that OBL went to the School of The Americas only makes you look like an idiot.

I think it was actually Bin laden's brother, with whom the Bush family has business dealings, a matter of public record.
The C I A has been a benefactor to the Al-Qeada for years.
First, it was to help with the defense of Afghanistan, but has
since been used for other aims.

Probably, CIA's training is ill-motivated. Instead of planning for defence, they plan of offence against others. To every action, there is an opposite reaction. If you do something with good intention towards others, then you will get favourable reaction. If you do something with bad intention, then you will get back-firing of your own weapon upon yourself. You know, all minds are connected. So, a disturbace in one mind has its effect on another mind.

You need to provide links to support your claims. Of course, as you can obviously see from some of these answers GHWB could admit on live television that what you say is true and Y!A Cons would still refuse to believe it.
