20,000 troops in mexico means 20,00 individuals. YOu mean platoons, or some other name liek brigs and batallions.

A troop is the same sise as a company, which consists of at least 4 platoons, which comes to around 160-240 men. Calvary is the only unit that calls it a troop.

isnt a troop another name for a soldier? so, a troop isnt a group its the individuals in a group.
