Yes and no. It depends on whether you are honest or not!

Honesty is the best policy as someone finding out after the fact is grounds for eviction. It is better to explain up front!

not unless you can't pay the rent again in the new state---HOWEVER, if you owe back rent from the pevious state, the landlord has the right to put a judgement against you in small claims court, which can stop you from getting any loans, any credit whatsoever AND could make it impossible to rent SOME places that ask for credit references......if you were evicted but owe NOTHING, then don't worry about it---evictions are NOT put on your credit rating... BUT if the landlord has to take you to small claims court, THAT WOULD BE on your credit rating....

I want to say an eviction is public record and that is what realitys look for is any evictions.
