8 million people died from Malaria during the same period.

3,500 Americans died in Iraq.

Any thoughts on these numbers?

Has anyone seen the studies in this link.

i found them very interesting.

I am posting this instead of info from any right to life or pro-choice sites.

If you scroll down there are some tables that show percentages of reason why women have chosen abortion. My favorite is the study that shows what kind of BC methods are being used.

Why do people want to tie someone to the whipping post because they use their voice to stand up for a good and just cause. The truth is if he was a pauper or even slightly wealthy no one would listen to this very important issue he is talking about. Case in point...Bono put his millions in to a tax shelter but does that make him any less valuable to the world. He and Al Gore could be sipping on a cool drink, watching the world go by somewhere in the south of France but they choose to waste their time on just causes...go figure

Isn't it more hypocritical for us to rant and rave for something to be done about the enviroment and the starving people in the world, then shoot the messenger. He has to live in the same world you and I share. Yes Al Gore has to use electricity and fossil fuels just like the rest of us. Isn't that the point...
Please spare me the Al Gore is a poo poo head answer.

"Yes," he responded (both calls contacted a male staffer)

"Ha ha hahaha ha ha ha ha ha ha...ha ...ha...ha...ha ha ha h"

Then I hung up....

It is obvious that RedsStaters have more than a regional simularity.

It seems they have more of a collective or Swarm mentality.

Human rights for terrorists? Calling them humans is an insult to the human race. These creatures do not deserve not one grain of pity. I wonder what the do-gooders would say if a member of their family is murdered by being blown up, or their throat cut in front of a camera. Rejoice? Ask forgiveness for the poor terrorist?

Libs bend over backwards to defend terrorists, promote european interests, attack our own culture, etc. etc.

Hateing your own country is NOT patriotism. Assuming every governmental decision is a conspiracy does not make you an intelectual.

Jefferson just finished his speach after pleading not guilty to the 100 page, 16 count inditement against him. He told how his 5 children all went to some of the most expensive universities in the country, and most of them went to more than one. So as a congressman and a sometimes practicing attorney, where did he get all the money needed to pay for all this education of his kids? And where did the $490,000 in his savings account come from?

Remember when they said they believed the 1% minority of scientists over the rest of the experts? Even when many of the "doubting scientists" turned out to be funded by Exxon/ Mobil?

I wonder what they have to say now that even Herr Bush and ALL the GOP presidential candidates now acknowledge the reality of human accelerated global warming?

The amnesty bill was a sham, or a "shamnisty" as some were calling it. But our border is still wide open and illegals are pouring over... what is next for "we the people" to do. We stopped the stupid senators, but it can't stop there...

These are hard cold facts about abortion in this country. So when you say you are pro choice, are you aware that........

* 82% of all abortions are performed on unmarried women.

* 52% of U.S. women obtaining abortions are younger than 25, and teenagers obtain 19%

* 48% of women who have abortions had at least one previous abortion (that's nearly half)

* 93% of women having abortions claim that having a baby would interfere with work, school or other responsibilities; they cannot afford a child; they do not want to be a single parent or are having problems with their husband or partner.

* Less than 7% of abortions are results of incest, rape, or health risks to the mother or the baby.

Still think that a mother murdering her unborn baby as a form of post-sex birth control should be a choice???

William Jefferson. You know him right? The guy caught with 90K in his freezer. The guy the FBI has on video taking bribe money from an undercover agent. In total up to 500K worth?

He has now been indicted.

Where is your outrage Dems? When Gonzales was put in testimony to answer to the firings of U.S. Attorneys, you Dems immediately called for his resignation before we really knew anything about what may have happened.
When Libby was "fingered" in the outing of Plame. Before there was any trial. Before there had been any testimony. You guy's wanted him hung up by his toenails. Fired and jailed.
So where is the strong language in regards to Jefferson? Where is your outrage? Where are the calls from prominent democrat leaders for his resignation?
Where? Where? Where?

I already know the answer. You guy's will never turn on your own no matter how badly they have conducted themselves. Bill Clinton is obvious proof of that.

I just want to hear you say it.

It seems to me that America's "leaders" are leaning toward fascim. On both sides.

It seems to me that the Republicans are going to use the threat of Terrorism to get people to do what they want. I'm afraid there will be all sorts bad things happening because of this fear.

It seems to me that the Democrats are going to use the fear of Global Warming to pass all kinds of crazy laws that will FORCE people to be more eco-friendly. Also, I fear that they want to help the poor so much (which is laudable, really) that they will be taking money from the rich and middle class to support the very poor. Maybe equal wages for everyone?

These thoughts are very much unfinished projects, please feel free to point out flaws in my logic so that I don't have to move to Canada in 2008. Thanks.

and regulations are here to benefit and protect the rich, the poor have no rights when it comes down to it. of course the laws written in black and white treat all equally, and the rich will even have to go through the same process as everybody else,e.g. if they are sent to court, but in the end, one way or the other they are givien more rights, they wont have to sit and rot as the rest of us. Why are we so passive, just sitting around un-coscious watching T.V. or whatever else it is we distract ourselves with?

This test only has one question, but it's a very important one. By giving an honest answer, you will discover where you stand morally. The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which you will have to make a decision.

THE SITUATION:
You are in Florida, Miami to be specific. There is chaos all around you caused by a hurricane with severe flooding. This is a flood of biblical proportions. You are a photojournalist working for a major newspaper, and you're caught in the middle of this epic disaster. The situation is nearly hopeless. You're trying to shoot career-making photos. There are houses and people swirling around you, some disappearing under the water. Nature is unleashing all of its destructive furor.

I found a nasty little question today that a friend put a star on...
It was about Israel, anti-semitism and racial hatred. It made me sick... Aparently Answers is anti semetic... I always thought it was 50% anti anyone who asks a question! Anyway, It ended on a diatribe about the arabs/palistinians being scum (yes, i found the hypocricy most amusing), who owned israel moraly and hinged on israel ownership of the region for 3000 years. I missed the chance to ask if God had given them a reciept, if the Romans, Turks, Brits and french were only subletting the region when they were there and I also so wanted to ask if the Egyptians (who owned the region as part of their empire for 2000 years or so before exodus) had sold it To God before he gave it to his chosen ones....

Isnt it funny how historic record always seems to be left out of these little scaps when the chance to claim divine right is availible?
