People are jealous and scared to death of Al Gore because he tells it like it is and like it is, isn't what they want to hear.

Al Gore is an authoritarian. That's my only reason for being judgmental. I read his "Earth in the Balance" book years ago, and found him to be the most scary politician of his day. (I admit that George and the Bush league are a little scarier today, but if Al Gore had been president instead, I'm not sure we wouldn't be just as tightly regulated today, if not moreso).
I guess all his jetting around is a little hypocritical since he advocates that everyone else do without. But that's not my main reason for disliking him. Still, pointing out hypocrisy in politicians is an easy sport, and it's a lot of fun.

It's easy to rant and flame other people when you are just as bad of a person. At least have the decency to confess your shortcomings before throwing stones.
What grade does a person have to graduate from in order to not know that Clinton did NOT sign Kyoto even when Gore was his VP?
Clinton must have had zero respect for Gore.

People tie them to the whipping post because they are hypocrites.
During his presidential campaign he was offered energy efficient vehicles (Toyota minivans) for his entourage, but he demanded and got Ford Excursions. Save the environment indeed?!?
What about the gas heating bill for his swimming pool, used more gas than three large houses (recent news, Fox and CNN, so don't blame Fox)?
He only jumps on save the world because it keeps him in the limelight, keeps his name out there. It appears to me he really doesn't give a crap.
And personally (and I realize that this is slightly egocentric), I don't care about AIDS or hunger around the world. I try to put out the fires at home before combating the world's fires. A majority of the starving people (I am not talking about refugees from war) live in desert type areas, and have lived there for a thousand years. What type of land was it 1000 yrs ago, sand! What will it be in 1000 yrs, sand! Just sayin.
What about AIDS in our country, hunger and homeless in our country? Oh, the homeless guy on the corner is just a bum, that's right (sarcasm). Why doesn't the US care about them? We seem to find it easier to turn our noses up at them but help someone that doesn't care the we(US) exist.
He is nothing but a celebrity trying to stay popular, and that is why people typically could give 2 s&*ts about what he has to say.

ALGORE is a Chicken-Little who is running around on private jets (generating MORE CO2) telling us that the sky is falling (AGW). THIS is why he commands so little respect. His evidence is scant at best, regardless of what he claims in his "movie."
Ask him to show you a confirmed chart of how much CO2 the earth produces naturally. ONCE he generates THAT data, then he can continue his Chicken Little dance with a LOT more credibility in MY eyes.
To the crucifixion comment...did Christ set the bar a little too high for Algore? *laughter* Christ died for us. What will Algore do to save us? He COULD sacrifice a little and fly less on those private jets - for the good of us all! *laughter*
My tiny brain has been doing some considering, and it was a thought down these lines that lead me to realize just what the masses were thinking when they demanded Christ's crucifixion. They WANTED to see him saved right then and there! If he WERE the "Son of God," then a "loving" God would be more-than-willing to come to the aid of his son. God DID come to the aid of his son and saved him from death after those three days, however. Christ left it up to his Gang of Twelve to share the message of Salvation after his ascension. Perhaps it was only 11 by then due to Judas doing himself in.
So, since Algore isn't preaching a "new" life for himself, we may end up, collectively, never demanding his crucifixion, hanging, electrocution, gasing, or death by firing squad.
However, it WOULD be nice if Algore would do MORE than tell us that it's going to get HOTTER in the summer, and MAY get COLDER in the winter due to his "version" of AGW. The ONLY demon that he HAS pulled from his bag was Katrina, and the Gulf Coast will recover from that, and guess WHEN it happened. DURING hurricane season. *shrug* NBD!!! Last season, there were NO hurricanes that made landfall, and my suspicion for this season is the same. Looks like my storm shutters will spend ANOTHER summer gathering dust in the garage.

If by "judgmental" you mean "independently anlayzing the suituation and reaching a different conclusion," then I guess people are being judgmental.
Gore did NOTHING about Rwanda when he had the chance.
Gore has no credibility to speak on climate change. He is doing so ONLY because it advances his personal political agenda, and THAT is obvious and THAT is what he is being attacked about.
And, his OVERWHELMING personal use of energy makes him a hypocrite.

I agree with you.
People only like celebrities and former politicians who are trifling idiots (Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan) or who don't get involved (Gen Swarzkopf).
I remember being flabbergasted to find out that people disliked the late Princess Diana for her "causes".
It is far better to be someone in the public eye and use your fame and status to HELP than to sit on your behind and just BE.
As a person who works with charities and churches and organizations, I can tell you SO SO MANY PEOPLE AND ISSUES in the world need HELP.
Thank God some people have stepped up to the plate.
Just because it isn't something someone doesn't agree with
doesn't mean they should take pot shots at it.
You have restored my faith in humanity, after having to deal with trolls this morning.
Good luck

Al Gore is a hypocrit and a swindler.
He talks about requiring us, you and me, to pay for "carbon offsets" becuase we are alive and generate "greenhouse gases".
And we have to pay him those fees.
But where is he paying for his carbon offsets for his TN mansion? Why does he not use hybrid cars to travel from place to place promoting his "inconvenient truth"? Why has he not given his time and money to finding ways to help eliminate greenhouse gases. He gets paid for every speaking engagement he does and he gets paid for his endorsement on any environmentally friendly product.
We are not judging Al himself. We are simply pointing out what his actions present.
Finally, no one likes to be told "Do as I say and not as I do" which is exactly what Al Gore does.

Passion against whoever views. It is passion for ones own views. Passion I see is politically incorrect.
Because we can be. Still not illegal to hurt a person feelings
Hypocrites are such easy targets
If you talk the talk, then walk the walk something folks like Al Gore do not do.
Do as they say not as they do mentality. I see you drink from that Kool-aid glass

Al Gore is a hypocrite, and an idiot. And he's pushing a hoax for personal gain. And he's a commie liberal. And he took bribes from the Communist Chinese. And he thinks he's smarter than everybody else.
That's why I'm so judgmental of Al Gore.
