I found a nasty little question today that a friend put a star on...
It was about Israel, anti-semitism and racial hatred. It made me sick... Aparently Answers is anti semetic... I always thought it was 50% anti anyone who asks a question! Anyway, It ended on a diatribe about the arabs/palistinians being scum (yes, i found the hypocricy most amusing), who owned israel moraly and hinged on israel ownership of the region for 3000 years. I missed the chance to ask if God had given them a reciept, if the Romans, Turks, Brits and french were only subletting the region when they were there and I also so wanted to ask if the Egyptians (who owned the region as part of their empire for 2000 years or so before exodus) had sold it To God before he gave it to his chosen ones....

Isnt it funny how historic record always seems to be left out of these little scaps when the chance to claim divine right is availible?

this is something i noticed about Israel, and Palestine. A few years ago (about 5 or 6 years ago) , I looked up PLO and Zionist on the internet. This was because the newspapers were mentioning them both so much; and I was actually reading the papers then, so I thought I keep reading so much, I'm going to check up on both. So to their websites I went. The PLO official website, so it said anyway. And the Zionist/Israel official website, so it said. Well, the PLO one tended to make sense. I loathe to say that. I was surprised after what had been written about them in the papers. Not saying they are right or wrong; but they made sense, as in it was rational, reasonable arguments, points.
The Zionist one made not much sense at all, and made my head spin. It did say, "Let's sit down and talk". Which on the face seems fine. But in the context it seemed like nonsense, and trickery. And I had to laugh because there was a popular character on Saturday Night Live in the states, a guy dressed as a NY socialite that used to say that:
"Talk amongst yourselves"

I see a lot of diatribes on here from many different groups. Plus I see quite a few people, answering on here that do all the mythology, quotes from holy texts, and such; and I am told they are jokers pretending to be a certain religion, or group, and doing those things simply to stir people up.
A kind of troll I suppose.
So it's probably in a lot of cases not very worthwhile to tell the truth for us lot that do; since they are just on here to stir people up, not towards one group or another; but just that, only to make people angry.
Regardless, I'll probably still do the telling the truth answers even if it's a wind up. It gives people with integrity and people that do know interesting facts an opportunity to state them. So that's good, because I enjoy reading it. Plus others see it.
More opportunity for speaking out with integrity is a good thing.

Questions about Israel and Palestinian problems come up all the time!. That part of the world has been fought over most likely ever since humans spread north from the African plains.. Its seems that region has al ways been a pain in the a-rse for someone or another.

Sadly Until both sides sit down and talk to each other , then nothing will every get settled and the unrest will continue for the next 2000 years.

Welcome to the human race...

My only shred of hope is, as someone with family from Northern Ireland, that if Ian Paisly and Martin McGuiness can sit down together maybe, just maybe one day there will be a chance for hope for Palestine / Israel.
