8 million people died from Malaria during the same period.

3,500 Americans died in Iraq.

Any thoughts on these numbers?

It's a war. There will be deaths. WWII had days where 15,000 died in battle.

The soliders are dying for our freedoms here as citizens. To keep us safe. Every soldier that dies in Iraq could potentially save the life of hundreds of American citizens here by eliminating terrorists. It's an ongoing war. There will be more. That's the nature of war.

Thank you, you have brought up a VERY important point imho.

I have struggled with the automobile statistics ever since I learned that more Americans died in car accidents than all the American military deaths caused by war involvements, since America was founded.

There is a difference!

Death by natural causes, or shall I say "acts of god", are or should be put into a different category. How many worldwide simply die of old age, in that time period?

Here's the point, and I know a lot of you war hawks out there won't like it.

FREE CHOICE!

In an accidental death the drivers only are usually responsible, sometimes one sometimes more than one driver {multi-car accident}.

In a war the participants on both sides are expected///ordered to kill for POLITICAL reasons!

O.K. lets look at this. If my mother or father told me to go over and kill the guy down the street, because their afraid he might be a terrorist, or for any other reason,,,,,,,,most people would leave home before they would carry out a deliberate act of murder.

But lets say my parents could train our dog that killing strangers, or the guy down the street, was O.K.

I ask you isn't that also considered murder?

If we're ever going to have "Peace on Earth" Please Think About This!

We have to do something about this lets protest and make our government do something about all these people dieing in Car Crashes. Lets let the American drivers know that we are behind them but we have to restrict their driving privileges maybe even take away their cars. Oh but wait a minute that would include me, forget it. You say 8 million people died of malaria but look how many birds we saved..

David that presents a strong case for banning the use of automobiles. It would also help in the forgotten war on obesity and the Environmentalists war on Global Warming.

thank you, you have suggested a considered necessary factor imho. I actual have struggled with the vehicle documents ever via fact I discovered that extra individuals died in vehicle injuries than all the yank militia deaths brought about via conflict involvements, via fact united statesa. became based. there's a difference! death via organic reasons, or shall I say "acts of god", are or could be placed right into a diverse classification. what proportion international purely die of old age, in that factor era? right here is the factor, and that i understand an incredible style of you conflict hawks obtainable won't like it. unfastened decision! In an unintentional death the drivers in easy terms are frequently in charge, now and returned one now and returned extra beneficial than one driving force {multi-vehicle accident}. In a conflict the individuals on the two facets are envisioned///ordered to kill for POLITICAL reasons! O.ok. we could inspect this. If my guardian advised me to pass over and kill the guy down the line, via fact their afraid he could be a terrorist, or for the different reason,,,,,,,,maximum folk could go away homestead earlier they could carry out a planned act of homicide. yet let's imagine my mom and dad could practice our canines that killing strangers, or the guy down the line, became O.ok. I ask you isn't that still seen homicide? If we are ever going to have "Peace on earth" Please think of roughly This!

We need to redeploy from our nation's roads and highways, obviously. It's a Quagmire.

And as long as we're giving up on failed wars, how about the War on Poverty? Talk about a Quagmire. 40 years we've been fighting this war, and to hear "advocates" talk, we've accomplished nothing.

The amount of casualties we've suffered in years of war is nothing short of a miracle. In any previous time in history, we'd be down on our knees giving thanks to a merciful God for this miracle.

Does anyone think this country is worth fighting and dying for anymore?

It's not really surprising. Although we would like to see no deaths from combat, the fact is that more young men of military age die on our nations roads.

The same was true during the Vietnam era - more young men died here in the U.S. in traffic accidents than died in Nam.
