Jefferson just finished his speach after pleading not guilty to the 100 page, 16 count inditement against him. He told how his 5 children all went to some of the most expensive universities in the country, and most of them went to more than one. So as a congressman and a sometimes practicing attorney, where did he get all the money needed to pay for all this education of his kids? And where did the $490,000 in his savings account come from?

Since he is a democrat, let's not forget what democrats have said when charges, real or not, were levied against any republican, "It is not whether he is guilty or not. It is the seriousness of the charges."

These are questions better left to a judge and jury, don't you think? Or do you just ignore the principle of "Innocent Until PROVEN Guilty?"

Ask any cop. They can walk into the middle of a chainsaw murder, the chainsaw guy with a signed confession and a DVD of all his crimes, but until a judge and/or jury say, "GUILTY" at the end of a legal trial, he is a "SUSPECT".

Republicans have already removed "Habeas Corpus" from US legal doctrine, let's not go any further down the road to fascism, ok? Were you this judgemental about the Jack Abramoff Scandals? How about the Mark Foley dirty email scandal, I know it only put an underage Senate page at risk and wasn't about money, but aren't you even the least bit upset the people you trusted to guide us to prosperity, freedom and better lives, chose instead to spend their time trying to romance little boys?
I see a lot of NAMBLA questions in here, not so subtly aimed at "Liberals" who allegedly condone such disgusting behavior, but who are the overwhelming majority of accused sex criminals and pedophiles, working in political professions? Republicans. Read this link, I know, I post it all the time, but no one has been able to challenge the validity of what the site posts. While there may be dead links (this site has been around for quite awhile), I have not found ONE person who can rationally and FACTUALLY defend the actions of the Republicans listed on this site.

While there may be Democrats who find this crap attractive as much as these Republicans (notice I don't say "ALL" Republicans, just the ones who STILL scream about Clinton and a cigar, but think nothing of their elected Republican leaders raping small children), I have not found one website which lists any Democrats in political arenas, arrested or investigated for pedophilia, or any of the other charges shown in this link:

It is examples such as this, a lot of people who were conservatives or more middle of the road are questioning what the Republican Neo-Conservative agenda actually is. I was one of them. Huge breaks for political cronies, a complete lack of bi-partisan oversight for the last 6 years (and Republicans still GOT NOTHING DONE- didnt abolish abortion [as much as they scream about embryos being people, they didn't even CURTAIL abortion]), they have granted us record National Debt (almost Nine TRILLION Dollars and climbing and a VP who has the attitude, "Deficits Don't Matter":

...sure, not to HIM- He's one heart attack away from shuffling off this (Polluted) mortal coil. It's HIS kids and his grandkids who will curse both his and our shortsidedness, pissing away oil in personal vehicles most people neither need nor have a right to. What's next after the petroleum is gone? Do we go back to burning whale oil? SAY, THERE'S a renewable oil source! We'll start whale farms!

If the man is guilty, a jury of his peers will determine it. If you want an opinion about his guilt or innocence AFTER the trial, repost the question then, and I will be happy to oblige, but by focusing solely on Democratic transgressions and crimes while ignoring the overwhelming crimes committed by your own, you don't show patriotism, you show party loyalty over Loyalty to your country, and placing Loyalty for ANYTHING higher than your country is treasonous.

Without investigation or anything it certainly looks like he is guilty. I have a feeling he will be caught having done something illegal. If so he needs the book thrown at him. It is time the legislators of this country stop that kind of crap and serve the people. Role model is only part of what they should be and W. Jefferson is no role model

yes, he probably is...and I think he should be punished severely

however, I do not like the sentiment that he is the first and only politician in his state, country or world that every took money

i could tell you where he got the money because I am so good at these things

i am also the wife of a former cop and PI and believe me the things I could tell you about politicians here would make your skin crawl

or maybe not, because you might not be concerned

Of course he's guilty, the FBI has video of him taking bribes, they found $90,000 hidden in his freezer at home. Of course coming from Ray Nagan territory, I wouldn't be surprised to see him reelected just like that scum bag Marion Barry in D.C.
