My husband was in the Navy for 20 years. He is turning 50 this year and I want to surprise him with finding one of his friends that he talks about all the time. I only know the guy's name and possibly where he was stationed. I have tried military.com, google, etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

I saw there was way too much time given to only a few of the candidates and obvious questions only asked of certain ones.

Don't you think all deserve equal time and the right to answer the same questions.

this were the statements of RAUL YZAGUIRRE, NCLRPRESIDENT ON LA VOZ DE AZTLAN

( la voz del aztlan is the group which anti-immigrants groups keep claiming the NCLR supports but this is what they think about them ) :

manifestations of hate, intolerance, and bigotry should be condemned by all Americans, especially when carried out in the name of fighting discrimination and oppression against our community. All Americans of conscience should know that this site is the work of a tiny, fringe group and does not reflect the opinions and feelings of the overwhelming majority of Latinos in this country.

http://www.nclr.org/content/news/detail/42452

is it possible that both pros and antis may agree in such statements by la NCLR ???

please state if u agree or disagree on this with the NLCR and why ???

There seems to be a fundamental split between big government types (of both parties) and that dogged Constitutionalist from Texas, Ron Paul. Paul would slash taxes, slash government, and take us back towards our Constitutional roots. All other candidates seem to be far more "moderate" or radically-inclined towards the opposite - MORE government control of your life.

So, have you had enough? Or do you want less (of your own money and control over your own life)?

Call them... fax them... talk to them face to face... but let them know what their constituents think. It's one thing to talk about it on the internet, but get involved and give your elected officials their marching orders!

These debates are SO boring - here's a couple questions to ramp up the excitement levels...

AS PRESIDENT, YOU RECEIVE WORD THAT A FEMALE AL QAEDA MEMBER IS IN THIS COUNTRY, AND TAKING FERTILITY PILLS TO SPAWN AN ENTIRE GENERATION OF U.S.-BORN TERRORISTS. AT THE SAME TIME, SHE’S PURCHASING AUTOMATIC WEAPONS AT WEEKEND GUN SHOWS, BUT ONLY TO HUNT GAYS.

“WOULD YOU TAKE ACTION TO (A) STOP HER GUN PURCHASES, AND (B) AUTHORIZE ABORTIONS ON HER FETUSES, INCLUDING PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTIONS ON LATE-TERM LITTLE BIN LADENS?

“ALSO, ASSUMING YOU’D APPROVE THESE ABORTIONS, WOULD YOU RAISE TAXES TO PAY FOR THEM, OR TAKE THE FUNDS FROM THE ‘BODY ARMOR FOR TROOPS PROGRAM’?

When health insurance began, the patient paid the doctor then submitted a claim to insurance company. That original system allowed patients to stay on top of what was being charged for care. Then, it all changed. Today, no one seems to know how much this or that test or hospital room will cost; bills are submitted without the patient's knowledge and the patient is expected to pay for non-covered items when he or she never approved the items in the first place.

Ask your nurse in the hospital how much that injection will cost and she won't be able to tell you. Ask for someone who can tell you and you'll be given the run around and marked down as "problem patient." I submit, taking the patient out of the costs loop lies at heart of the problem of continuously rising health care costs. And since insurance companies justify their enormous profits by way of ratio to their costs, it is against their interests to see those costs reduced.

I'd like to hear the opinions of others.

I realize the war is difficult and frustrating - but making such a statement when our soldiers are on the front lines and in harms way seems like a pretty unprofessional, dangerous and utterly stupid thing to do.
Bad enough congress turns the funding of the war into a political circus and expounds policies of defeat, immediate withdrawal and, at best, set time tables for withdrawal.
But this statement from one of our esteemed representatives really takes the cake.
What are your serious thoughts on this - and, please, accept this question in the present, and don't recite reasons we shouldn't have done this or that in the past.
This is not a liberal or conservative question - it is a question concerning the inevitable results and consequences of such a callous statement coming from one of our representatives.
Any truth in this statement is irrelavent - there are numerous other avenues to advocate the position without telling the enemy the United States has lost the war.
