My husband was in the Navy for 20 years. He is turning 50 this year and I want to surprise him with finding one of his friends that he talks about all the time. I only know the guy's name and possibly where he was stationed. I have tried military.com, google, etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

The name of the guy I am looking for is Tim Crawford. He was stationed with my husband in Puerto Rico or San Diego. He was also a very avid diver. Thanks for any help!

Well, I just tried checking the Naval Historical Center (yes, I know you didn't give a name, hold tight for a moment) and I looked for ways to find shipmates and such. So some things that might help are the Crew Member info page, the page on reuinion sources, and the reunion organizations page. I'm posting the links to those below. Hope they help.

any idea as to where this person retired out to...for instance we retired to Florida [as does a HUGE amount of Navy] and we have two very large bases within a few miles of each other both of which have a newspaper, you might try that way failing that what ship [if any did they serve on together] maybe they have a website [some do some don't]

Also you could a shout out here, ie give us his name, my hubby was in for his 20 maybe its him you are looking for? lol lol

Good luck with the hunt
