I constantly see Republicans, and/or Conservatives referred to as "Neo-Cons" By our local Libs/Socialists/Communists... Both here, and on other forums.

This is always funny, as even Wikipedia defines it like this:

"Neo- is Greek for "new." Conservatism is new in two ways: first, many of the movement's founders, liberals and people from socialist backgrounds, were new to conservatism; second, it was a fairly recent strain of conservative socio-political thought. Its intellectual roots are from the decades following World War II, including the literary criticism and social science movements."

Or, in other words...A "Neo-Con" is a "New-Conservative". A >Convert< from the Socialist/Liberal ranks.
>NOT< someone who has always been a Conservative, or a republician....But someone who has Become a "New-Conservative", AFTER being a Socialist/Liberal.

But, as usual....I must re-educate those who have been spoon fed this by the Intelligentsia in our society, for so many years

for about 4 mths at the weekend. On Saturday her boss phoned her and told her not to go in because they were staying closed for the day.
Anyway, later on that day her friend who she work's with phoned and asked why she hadn't goen in, and that she to had also been sent home.
To add insult to injury, my sister found out on the Monday that 8 polish people had taken there jobs and that they weren't needed anymore.
I am really angry on my sisters behalf because she is so hard working (for her age), never misses a shift and is always on time.
Now she has no job, bearing in mind it's hard enough at that age to find a job, but also no income.
Does anyone else agree that this is appauling and does she have a leg to stand on?
I know I rant and rave and I don't discriminate but shouldn't British Citizens come first in our own country???

hope you guys can help with this one,. i have been searching for homebased clients to sell my artworks to, and i found this guy who says he would pay me every 15th and 30th day of the month for all the artworks that im going to give him, and so i believed in him and send him my works, then he gave me the first payment for the first work i did for him. to make the long story short, i just saw my "unpaid" artwork on a site and i was shocked! the artwork was copyrighted to our name and ihave all the psd and copyright certificate for that artwork but the thing is i can't afford to file a lawsuit... i asked some friends and they said that i was supposed to present them a written contract that i worked for that guy (as homebased designer). what should i do? is there a free lawyer for that?

My Marine is IRR and has been offered a job in Germany for a year.
He has invited me to come along.
However, I would like a source of revenue for myself. Although he says not to worry about it...I hate being a free loader.

Can anyone help point me in a direction?

Lets face it, if immigration really was a big deal, why didn't the Republicans who are "demanding" a solution for it, "demand" Bush and his Republican congress take action on it only a year ago?

You all are decendent from immigrants; unless your living on a reservation, that is.

If a US citizen travels to another country (Canada or Mexico) and runs into trouble with the law in that country, can the criminal records follow to hurt that person when he/she are back to the USA?

For example:
- Problems getting good jobs in the USA?
- Problems traveling to another country (not the same country which the crime occured)?
- While in USA, if that person is asked about the criminal records, does he/she have to say anything about the records occured outside the USA?

I hear a lot about freedom of speech from many of you. Why are most of you for the fairness doctrine? When it has, in court, proven to limit free speech.

The decision to press for re-establishment of the Fairness Doctrine now seems to have developed for two reasons. "First, [Democrats] failed on the radio airwaves with Air America, no one wanted to listen," says a senior adviser to Pelosi. "Conservative radio is a huge threat and political advantage for Republicans and we have had to find a way to limit it. Second, it looks like the Republicans are going to have someone in the presidential race who has access to media in ways our folks don't want, so we want to make sure the GOP has no advantages going into 2008."

Some female model gets her snapped ,sells those photos & negatives to that photographer by signing a contract that he can use them for his further earnings without asking her.
Can... this photographer further sell those photos &negatives to some other person for his personnal collection of models' unused
photographs IN LEGAL SENSE?????
Here this new buyer will just keep them & not use them further for earning.
