Specifically, at what point do you have to wait more than just the one year before you get an increase? In other words: Say you are a grade 13 step one. In one year you go to step two, one year later step three, etc... BUT...at one point (either step 4 or step 5) you have to wait 2 or 3 years and I'm not sure which step it is. Thanks to whoever can help me.

When do you suppose that liberal adults will look around at the younger people who support their ideas and think... Oh My GOD! What is wrong with me? Look at people who don't shower for days on end, wear birkenstocks (sp), tie themselves together in protest and a bunch of other whacky crazy things. When will liberal adults look around and say "wow, what am I doing having the same political philosophy as THEM?"

The illegal immigrants took to the streets the other day to demand { not ask } for amnesty . They want citizenship , but they don't want to earn it . Let me explain - There are some proposals that have been agreed upon it seems universally.

1. Pay a fine . A fair fine would be one equal to the same amount that they are going to use in social services , for their entire life span . The estimates are near 1.2 million . If they had that much money , they wouldn't be coming here .

2. Pass a background check . If I'm not mistaken , by them being here they are committing a crime . That disqualifies them automatically . If they have be here for anything more than one day , that is conspiracy to further an ongoing criminal act . All this happening across state lines and international boundaries, a RICO violation. Felonies . They survive with some form of documentation , which is fraud or ID theft .

3. Read , Write , and Speak English . Not going to happen . They are already demanding that official documents be bilingual . Next are street signs . But which language do we go to . Signs in 62 languages ? I don't think so .

4. Pay back taxes . How do we verify the amount of back taxes they owe . They're here illegally and hidden for years ! How many and at what wage to tax at ? We've already established that they lie , cheat , steal , and are untrustworthy .

5. Loyalty Oath - They don't respect this country enough to obey our laws , how can we expect them to be loyal to the U.S. to become a citizen ? You have to be faithful to this country , they can't be when they won't renounce their flags , yet they burn ours publicly . They also send our money overseas for non citizens .

Every step towards citizenship , they stumble and our politicians know that there is no acceptable path because they fail every test .

No this is not a rant and not meant to sound offensive as this is merely an observation - Do you agree with it ?

Since I was directly hired by a company in Dubai which they did the processing of my work documents. Is it ok if I will present just the printed copy of my work/ employment visa at the airport immigration? (which I received from my email through pdf. format) or Could I possibly rerieve the employment visa from the local UAE embassy? (since I was informed by the HR that the airport could retrive the said work visa)

My ex owes almost $9000 in child support and has made no payment of any amount since 12/06. Child support enforcement has tried to garnish his check so he quit his job. They suspended his license but he has no car anyway. They can't seize his bank accounts because he has none. The DA said they only file felony charges on deadbeats every 2 years, so it will be 2008 before that happens. I am a full time college student with a part time job so I obviously don't have the $1400 it will cost me to take him back to court. I told him 2 weeks ago he would not be getting visitation with them until he pays at least one month's payment and gets acceptable conditions for them at his friend's house where he is living (they have no beds, clothes, toothbrushes, etc. over there). The last time they were there, he didn't pick up their suitcase and kept them in the same clothes for 3 days. I don't want to get in trouble, but I am frustrated and don't know what else to do. Any ideas?

We've had 2 from the Bush family. And, are looking at a potential 2nd from the Clinton, leading to a third. Chelsea will be old enough when Hilary finishes her 2nd term, if she wins. Chelsea is already being groomed for political office, and starting to become involved in Hilary's campaign.

My neighbor's have people that visit them at least 2-3 times a week. Their dog is never on a leash and comes in my yard and barks at my cats. And/or does his buisness and then goes back.
I know there's a leash law in my state. I know I can call the police and have them talk to her.
I open the door and look out and give her 'the look'. I don't say nothing to her because I am not out to start trouble. BUT, today her dog came in my yard once again and was barking at my cat.
I want to know if I should talk to the owner of the dog first, and mention to her about the leash laws, or over look it because the dog isn't really causing any trouble other than barking?

I checked my email this morning to find out that I had not one, not two, not three, but FOUR violation notices where the my answers were deleted and reported as abusive! The questions I answered were.....

* Why people don't have money for gas, but seem to have money for everything else?

* How it is that tax revenue is up 11% but taxes are down?

* If a liberal has a plan for Iraq that does NOT include cutting, running, and defeat, then I will vote for them

* That human society has NOT reached our appex based on all of the horrible things mankind has learned how to do to to each other.

The way I see it is if you're going to post a question and ONLY want to hear from people who agree with you, then what's the friggin point? I thought the entire point of yahoo Q and A was to get different perspectives? Not report people for content abuse because you don't agree with them and because they don't agree with you. This nonsense is being taken WAY too far. Agreed????

It's should be the responsibility of the people who represent them to put all important issues before them and then, let the people decide. I consider important issues as those that will effect people most directly and signifigantly, like our nations security, crime, gas prices, perscription drug prices, taxes, jobs etc. Such legislation can and should be simplified and shortened. Get the lawyers language which is only used to create loupe holes out of Capitol Hill. If in the end, the majority is wrong, then all will have to shoulder the burdon for their mistakes. But, it's their mistake, not the representatives. I would put the ball in their court. If they want change, they'd have to get off the couch and finally get involved. That's what true Democracy is all about. When I was very young, my father and mother taught me to accept the consequences for my mistakes whether I liked it or not. The voters have to be accurately educated to the issues. I

Fat people are a drain on the economy and are able to perform much less work then those at a proper weight . Thus they contribute less to our gdp , need more health care services and in general are a drain on society .
We have reduced the costs of health care by reducing the number of smokers is it time now to focus on fat people .

I work for a professional company. My employee was born in the USA and when she was hired she stated "Fluent in English" on her resume. However, the way she speaks is not understandable either to me or the customers. For instance, "who be the client?" instead of "who is the client?"; "He do" instead of "he does," "bothum" instead of "both of them" and so on and on... So technically she lied on her resume because that is not fluent English. So can I fire her or will I get in trouble?
