I checked my email this morning to find out that I had not one, not two, not three, but FOUR violation notices where the my answers were deleted and reported as abusive! The questions I answered were.....

* Why people don't have money for gas, but seem to have money for everything else?

* How it is that tax revenue is up 11% but taxes are down?

* If a liberal has a plan for Iraq that does NOT include cutting, running, and defeat, then I will vote for them

* That human society has NOT reached our appex based on all of the horrible things mankind has learned how to do to to each other.

The way I see it is if you're going to post a question and ONLY want to hear from people who agree with you, then what's the friggin point? I thought the entire point of yahoo Q and A was to get different perspectives? Not report people for content abuse because you don't agree with them and because they don't agree with you. This nonsense is being taken WAY too far. Agreed????

I agree.

The person who asked the question is not the only one who can report abuse. Anyone can report abuse, and nobody checks to see if it is really a violation; they just assume it is.

I think that too many people are really thin-skinned and Yahoo has to have the report abuse button to keep their advertising dollars. It is just another case of the few overriding the many because the few whine the most and loudest.

I got a violation for something completely innocuous this weekend too.

By the way, one of those isn't a question and for that reason probably deserved the violation. But the others are clearly questions, and I agree; the violation thing has gotten way out of hand.

I agree! the only reason you shpuld be reported is if you use abusive language or are very threatening to the asker.

Those examples sound reasonable to me. I have gotten away with a lot worse, and been flagged for a lot less. I guess it depends on what they had for breakfast that day.Wheaties or Trix. Hang in there.

You are correct. i get them also. It seems people on the far ends of the political spectrum do not want to hear opposing viewpoints.

I totally agree with you. People can rant on about assassinations, but you better not call global warming a myth.
