DONT DO IT....if the car is in your name you are responsible for anything that happens to it, and YES you could get into trouble for letting a unlicensed driver use your car. this is something that could cause you a great deal of trouble, both financial and legal....hope this helps. good luck.

First of all this is very stupid if you think about it. It is just common sense. How can your boyfriend get insurance on a car that isn't in his name?? The car is in YOUR name. YOU will have to insure it. Second you can't get insurance on a car if you don't have a license. Third if he drives YOUR car and he hurts someone or kills someone trust me there will be a few lawsuits heading in your direction seeing the car is in YOUR name. Your boyfriends best bet is to give his friend some money to hold on to the car until he gets his license. Or for your boyfriend to just not buy a car until he gets his license. I think if you put the car in your name so he can illegally drive around is really putting you and your family at risk. It is totally not worth it. If your boyfriend keeps pressuring to put the car in your name then you need to tell him to take a hike. A real boyfriend wouldn't USE his girlfriend like that. Just move on.

DO NOT put the car in your name. If he leaves the car abandoned somewhere or doesnt pay for the car then the person who sold the car or the STATE will come after YOU. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING. Refuse to get involved. you NEVER put anything in your name for anyone that isnt your husband. A boyfriend is not a husband that is legally bound to you.
If you break up and he wants to stick it to you he can just park the car in the middle of city hall's lawn and then YOU will get tickets and possibly taken to court to pay all the fines since the car is in YOUR NAME.
DUH. If he wants the car he needs to put it in HIS name.
Yes he can register a car AND own it without having a driver's license. He just isnt suppose to DRIVE without a license.
So he is tricking you into put the car in your name so he doesnt have to be responsible for the car if he ever gets into trouble. And yes you would be in trouble if he drives YOUR car (cause it is in your name) without having a license.
My advise: tell him to get someone else to sign the title or tell him to put it in his name. If he wants a car then he needs to take responsibility for it himself. Tell him NO NO NO. I would also advise you to DUMP HIM because he is a scammer trying to screw you over.

I don't know about if he gets pulled over or not but if he is involved in an accident you sure can. Even if he is not at fault in the accident you could still be sued for letting him drive your car without a license. I would not do it even for my husband let alone some guy I was dating. He doesn't have a license for a reason. You cou,ld be sued and have judgments placed against you that could mess you up financially for the rest of your life.
Don't do it.

The guy sounds like a real prize, doesn't he? Have him buy the car and park it somewhere until he gets his license, then go plate it and everything. You can own as many cars as you want without a license. You just can't drive them on the road. Sounds like he's just trying to pull a fast one and get you to foot the bill on it though. If you put your name on it then you deserve for him to screw you over. If he does anything then its you who they'll come looking for.

Not only is it illegal, but it will make you an accomplice to ANY laws he breaks using the car.
If he robs a bank three years after you break up, uses the car as a getaway vehicle and kills two people, YOU become an accomplice to the robbery, the two counts of murder and a slew of other offenses.

I consider you that the would desire to regulate the strategies, i.e., to flee from certainty, is a undemanding human choose. i think of it ought to be somewhat decrease on the checklist, however, because of the fact human beings choose love and/or companionship earlier they choose different issues. I additionally agree that the taxation project, particularly whilst it includes marijuana, is significant. If every person ought to easily strengthen it of their returned backyard, the government does no longer get its decrease like it does with tobacco and alcohol. The pharmaceutical industry has adequate drugs to place the completed u . s . into l. a.-l. a. land and then some, yet they federally regulated, are rewarding, and pay taxes. Heroin and cocaine are extra troublesome because of the fact of their addictive homes and ability deadly nature. If genuinely every person ought to legally purchase those drugs, affordably, there may well be a extensive spike (no pun meant) in overdoses, so in this regard i've got faith the government, or a minimum of your trouble-free voter, is in touch with regard to the wellbeing outcomes and not lots with regard to the lost taxes.

yes, because if the title is in your name, it is legally yours. you cannot let an unlicensed driver drive your car. and i don't think he can get insurance in his name on your property, and also i don't think you can get insurance without a valid license.
