Ok I put a fully paid for used car in my name for someone so the car is paid for and everything is in my name. I moved out of state (MD) and this idiot ends up getting arrested and the car got towed. I heard this from a friend of his who is trying to help him because he is still in jail and may stay for a very long time.
Now my thing is I wanted the car out my name anyways, I dont want it either. Now the girl is telling me that the towing company will auction it off in maybe 2 weeks. So my question is what is the best thing to do? Just let them auction it off because then it will be out of my name and whatnot. But will that look bad on me somehow? Or should I just release the car to the girl and sign it over to her like she wants me to? Either way Im just looking for the car to be out of my name without making me look bad. All suggestions are welcome!

In a court document, opposing counsel claimed I have a felony arrest. I then filed a motion to strike and sanction. He replied by showing an exhibit of a sworn complaint that my ex-husband filed in 2004 which was never acted upon by the state attorney's office. Hence, no arrests, no court action.
When the attorney filed the exhibit of the sworn complaint, he referred to it as a "certified police report." It is not. It is a sworn complaint that was not acted upon. Can the attorney be sanctioned for this misstatement to the Court? Can I ask that the bogus sworn statement be removed from the current court record? Can the attorney pursue this matter further by having my ex-husband restate his allegations against me?

This Question was inspired by the whinging clown in an earlier Question who believed torture (and other atrocities) were wrong under all circumstances.

Let's face it, warfare is a nasty business. People get caught in the crossfire all the time, and becoming a prisoner just isn't a good way to end up. Not everyone who wants to surrender is received with open arms, and "fight to the death" outcomes are just too common.

When you do pick up prisoners, especially in a counterinsurgency, people get roughed up all the time. This happens. Americans are obsessed with the Laws of Land Warfare, but guaranteed when we roll out with Iraqi security forces and they get to work "questioning", they aren't offering coffee and donuts. Surprise? They get results.

So really, given the realities of a war on the ground, why is it that we get the "Holier than Thou" types from thousands of miles back in the States back-guessing what the troops do? Who are these people?

In my country, there is a case of a man convicted for murder and sentence to death. His mother crying was heart-breaking. When interview by the reporter. She said, to other he might be a murderer but to me, he is the most caring, loving, filial son you can ever find in this world. So to her, he is a loving son and not a murderer.

I feel the same for her, I ask for unlimited support from my friend and family as I return back double the support. I believe one person doing outside in the world should not affect what family or friend thought of him but rather how he treat them. If someone show you all the love in the world, unlimited care, support and sincerity. No matter he is a road sweeper, a murderer, a begger, he should be supported and love by those people that he gave all he have.

Do anyone agree with me?

It has been said we Invaded Iraq because we are the most powerful country in the world and it is our job to stabilize countries, MMMM I thought we invaded iraq becaes they had weopons of mass destruction?

There are houndreds of unstable countries in the world, many of them are here on our own contenent/ We have dictators who brutily murder people everday in South America, yet we never hear about it until its on some Hystrory channel special.

So if its americas job to tell the world they are free as long as they live the way we tell them, is it ok for us to invade countries and change there leadership to suit us?

It's been 5 years now & not only hasn't the US military won the war in Iraq they haven't won the war in Afganhistan either. We all know the reasons why the US military hasn't won including: Democrats, Bush, Rumsfeld, Rules of engagement, lack of troops, unsecure Iraqi/Afghan borders, etc....

But might there be something that can be done to win the war on terror without having to invade every country in the world that may or may not have them?

Maybe do what the Israelis do most the time in their 30 year war on terror: Fight terror w/ terror & make sure your borders are as secure as possible. Which means using good intelligence (spys) & military special forces to destroy the terrorists & build a good strong fence/wall on the US southern border.

Otherwise the US is going to fighting Iraq type wars for the next 100 years or more & is that what Americans want?

I asked a question earlier today about why the media didn't report the good stories coming out of Iraq. I made it clear (although some didn't read it) that I knew that things weren't going well in Iraq and that they all don't just love each other. For those who actually answered it honestly, thank you. My question for those who believe nothing good comes out of Iraq or if it does it is propaganda because nothing good is coming out of Iraq is this: Why doesn't the media cover positive stories in the USA? Are we in the same situation as Iraq? Do we have suicide bombers in the streets? I am just wondering how you can spin this. Nothing good comes out of Iraq because you people state there is very little. Is this true about America, because we get about the same amount of positive news?

There wasen't a huge treat to Amercia from Iraq.
Why not focus on the drug runing on the Mexican bordor? or
Why not focus on north Korea?

Why not focus less on big, costly, military operations and focus on inproving Amercia's diplomatic intrests around the world, or even sort out the Amercian econamy.

Who is the poppet and who is truely the puppet master- U.S.A or Isreal. If Isreal is the puppet master how and why?

Amercia is the only thing that is holding the western world up from falling into the dark ages where extreamists rule so why isn't it being ruthlessly effective?

war on terror using the conventional US military?

(1st of all you'd have to invade about 70 different countries to try & get them and as we can all see right now, the US military can't even secure 2 small countries).
