NINETEEN month's since the tragedy occurred and only a QUARTER of the Aid that is sitting there has been doled out!!

How would like to be challenged with survival for TWO YEARS without any help?

Some of the funding has finally reached educational institutions and is beginning to be dispersed, yet the majority lies tied up in a beauracracy that can't figure out how to spend the money. The fact is, those agencies that have been chosen to dole out aid are doing so, but only after they take a chunk for Administrative costs. Profiting from this tragedy-inexcusable. The Bush-Clinton Foundation got their 25 million. Red Cross--25 million and of course a group of 10 Faith based organizations that have failed to achieve any of their goals received a chunk of millions too.

Haliburton and Blackwater got their money--why can't the victims get theirs too?

Republicans weren't crying and screaming that the elections were rigged. Weren't screaming for recounts, except in a few locals that didn't go very far. We didn't say things like the elections were stolen.
We took it like adults.

Why can't libs do that when they lose?

Everytime a liberal makes a withdrawl, do they demand a recount? Do they accuse the ATM of cheating, like they did the voting machines and will they boycott ATMs

Tear down the Statue of Liberty or abide by the inscription. The Native Americans would love to see all of us "illegal immigrants" leave their country. We have changed the laws to make those seeking a better life crimminals.

Personally I dislike it. And will refuse to participate in one if given the opportunity which I don't expect. Do you think torture helps? No. It didn't work during the inquisitions of some centuries ago. And it won't work in this war against Islamic insurgents. On the contrary: many will be more resistant to cooperate with their Americans and their allies' captors. What do you think?

HERE IS THE ARTICLE for this question: "It is my argument that, beneath our very noses, George Bush and his administration are using time-tested tactics to close down an open society.

t is time for us to be willing to think the unthinkable -- as the author and political journalist Joe Conason has put it -- that it can happen here. And that we are further along than we realize.

Conason eloquently warns of the danger of American authoritarianism. I am arguing that we need also to look at the lessons of European and other kinds of fascism to understand the potential seriousness of the events we see unfolding in the United States." They say the strategy is leading to the End of America.

A question was posted by someone who did not pay their traffic tickets because they did not have the money and were afraid to go to jail.

My response was to do whatever it took to get the money to pay the tickets. Even if it meant selling his car.

Apparently, my writing:

"Either sell your car or get "soap on a rope."

was highly offensive to him.

If it truly was, please let me explain now sorry I am that I offended his sensiblilities.

What do you think?
