I was in an accident while in a cab a year and a half ago. I was riding in the front (the back was filled) and the cab driver rear ended someone. I took an ambulance to the hospital and ended up having 2 surgeries later in the year due to it. My medical bills are appx $55,000. I do have a lawyer - but my question is...how much should I ask for? Is there a general "calculator" that would officiate a quote? Is it 4 times as much? 3?

I don't want the greatest president over all just the greatest out of the above three. Only judge them by what they did as presidents not for what they wanted to do.

One of the big current issues in Virginia is the controversy as to where to more the Confedarate museum. It is currently in Richmond, but they are considering moving the museum to Lexingtion, V.A. Alot of blacks are complaining that the museum is a symbol of rascicim, and do not want the museum to exsist at all, claiming that it is offending to them. For me, the museum is a symbol of our heritage, and if it bothers other people, that's just too bad. And I mean, really, why should this bother them, and why should we not be able to have the museum there? There really is no reason that we should have to bend our wills and be walking on glass just so we don't offend anyone.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a rascist, and I know slavery was a terrible thing, but this museum isn't pro- slavery.

Seriously, the Americans have violated the Geneva convention so many times that it seems almost certain that the Iranian diplomat was seized by the CIA and tortured.

And ... what on earth do the Americans hope to gain by torturing him anyways?

I am wondering if I should make a will, and if so, how do I go about doing that. I am 23 years old, I have a child from a previous marriage, and I am now remarried to a man who has an 11 year old daughter who he shares custody with his exwife. My ex husband (my child's biological father) gave up all rights to my son at the time of the divorce, and I definitely do not want him to get my son if something should happen to me (my ex is mentally unstable and suicidal at times). My current husband plans on adopting my son when we have been married for 6 months. Any advice?

Closed 1967 Senate protocols reveal bids to pressure Israel
Hundreds of pages released this week by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee contain protocols of closed committee hearings from the seminal year of 1967, including one in which former Senator William J. Fulbright is quoted as saying, "The trouble is they [the Israel lobby] think they have control of the Senate and they can do as they please."

It's becoming pretty clear that Iraq has been "pacified" solely for the purpose of economic aggression.

new evidence is piling up around us, arguably strong enough to declare the whole War on Terror an undeniable fraud.

Virtually ignored by mainstream media, the Americans showed their hand this year with the new Iraqi oil law, now making its way through Iraq's parliament.

The law -- which tens of thousands of Iraqis marched peacefully against on Monday when they called for the immediate expulsion of U.S. forces -- would transfer control of one of the largest oil reserves on the planet from Baghdad to Big Oil, delivering "the prize" at last that Vice-President Dick Cheney famously talked about in 1999 when he was CEO of Halliburton.

A man driving a car saw two men chasing after a half-nude woman. The woman crossed the street ahead of his car, followed by both men, still in hot pursuit. In order to save the woman from being raped, the driver accelerated and hit one of the men.

Now, as it turns out, neither of the men was trying to rape the woman. One was her boyfriend and the other a friend. She was drunk and had stormed out of the house after an argument with the boyfriend. The men were simply trying to catch up and bring her home.

The driver was charged with aggravated assault for striking one of the men with his vehicle.

Here's the question. Should the driver's punishment be lessened because he believed the pursuers were attempting to rape the woman? Should he go free, since his intentions were good? Should the punishment be more severe because he struck an innocent man? What are your thoughts?
