I would tax all church related organizations that try to get laws passed to foist their religious views on all of us. Can't have it both ways. You don't pay taxes then you don't get to legislate your idea of morality, it's that simple. Want to get into politics and press your religious views on the rest of us whether we like it or not? Then start paying taxes or shut the hell up. Sick to death of those people, sorry to be so edgy about it ;).

No, because then you'd have to tax every non-profit organization - the DNC, the Red Cross, Harvard University, etc, etc.

Otherwise, it would be an obvious action based solely on hatred of religion.

Yes. By not taxing them, the government is basically saying that all taxpayers (even the atheists) should make up for the money that those churches save. It is fine with me if people want to go to church, but they should pay their own way and not expect others to pay for them.

Absolutely... they have been getting a free ride for years and with this latest Politically Correct Policing they churches are involved in and with the interests in politics I think ALL churches should be TAXED THROUGH THE NOSE.

Absolutely. They are selling a product, religion, and should be taxed just like every other retail establishment.
