Imus makes statements about every race and group in the book however no one has never step front to confront him about it i guess because they feel content with being called derogatory names. However when the black community refuses to settle for such, we are considered whiners and whatever else. Am i the only one that feels his remarks were offenisve toward an innocent group of black and white basketball members and they have a right to be upset? Why should black people receive the end of sneers just because other racial groups refuses to stand up for themselves? His rude remarks would have to had come to a end one way or another.

However, i feel as though if he apologized and was sincere about it, that should be the end of it. I dont believe in the firing and further reprimand.

You allowed your CAT DADDY husband to disgrace your family, shame your marriage over and over again and now even have a new HOT BABE from Canada and you think WOMEN would support you? Why should they? You couldn't even stand up for yourself against your own husband so what's the real message here? and more importantly, why can't I find the issues you're campaigning on any place on your website?

Don't you think people should be able to have a certain amount on them without going to jail...especially why is it illegal to have any of it for pain even if you are dying from a horrible disease. In Canada is it not like that. You are allowed a certain amount without going to jail. I mean drinking isn't illegal. What gives people the right to tell you what you wanna do if it is not hurting anyone else. That is so lame. I mean it could hurt someone else but same goes for drinking right ?.It's all how you use it.Shouldn't the police be more focused on abuse or like killings rather then something like a minor drug offense.

the liberals have become so incompetent and disgraceful, that it seems like it not even that cool to be a liberal anymore,
which seemed to be thier biggest draw for young people in the past,,,sheep following the herd

there seems to be a new movement of intelligent, young moderates and conservatives in Universities and political forums, could it be,,,could conservatism be the new liberalism

a sort of rugged, tough, no BS type 'chic' these movement is being paralelled in the black and gay communities,,,Black conservatives,,are sort of like rebels,,,same as the log cabin republicans

any thoughts on this

Gingrich, in a debate with Kerry the other day, fully and clearly stated that global warming exists and acknowledged that we need to do something about it.

"Former Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry debated former House Speaker (and potential Republican presidential candidate) Newt Gingrich today on the issue of global warming. Perhaps surprisingly, there weren’t nearly as many differences between the men as you might expect. Gingrich praised Kerry’s book on the subject, while Kerry described Gingrich as a generally swell guy.

More interestingly, both agreed that global warming was a problem, likely caused by human activities, in need of urgent action. Gingrich even disagreed with fellow Republican James Inhofe that the concept of global warming is a “hoax” and spoke of a need for a “green conservatism”.

They mainly disagreed about what to do next.."

Check it out by searching this question:

"How can we change the tax code to ease the burden on our families and promote growth and innovation?"

This looks real, the user profile for this question has Yahoo's seal of authenticity (official)

I'd like to see the results of this question differently than we are used to - rather than a selection for "best answer" I hope they can summarize the answers into general categories, and count the number of people who answered in each category. A summary for each category to explain how it was defined would be especially good. Maybe a link to another results page?
Also, if this can be done, I'd like to be able to see in what category each answer was tallied - yes, especially my own.

I see on the uscav.com store that they have a bunch of undergarments which bear the "under Armor Heat Gear and Cold Hear" name which they claim if you put on under our BDU it will keep you cooler. Has anyone used this and are these worth the money in any way??

Also, which one do you use in hot weather, the hot hear or the cold gear?

By having only two political parties in control, doesn't that take the democracy out of America? I think we should have people voted in that represent smaller niches in society so they can more effeciently represent issues that people are concerned about. I think, also, that it would be in accord with our postmodern situation where small, targeted groups can cause big, important changes.

Most importantly, how can we steer America, the supposed land of democracy, to having such a system with true representation? They even have this in the UK... and all the way down to Mexico - with PRI, Partido Verde, etc.

The United States' leading hurricane forecaster on Friday called Al Gore "a gross alarmist" for making the Oscar-winning documentary about global warming.

"He's one of these guys that preaches the end-of-the-world type of things. I think he's doing a great disservice and he doesn't know what he's talking about," Dr. William Gray said in an interview with The Associated Press at the National Hurricane Conference, where he delivered the closing speech.

No, it's _not_ mis-categorized, global warming is only a political tool.

And if you say he rigged it, why aren't you liberals smart enough to:

1) Prove he rigged it and bring the case to trial.
2) Prevent the rigging in the first place.

Seriously, if you call Bush stupid, and he outfoxes you at every turn...what does that say about the mental capacity of the liberal?

We, have a thought... and this will likely get some Native (American) Canadians upset at me (I'll deal with your messages as they come but you better be open minded) here goes anyway:

1. I did not steal your land. I don't know who did and will never meet them.... They're dead. (If my great grandfather killed your great grandfather, would I go to prison?)

2. No one stole YOUR land. You were not alive when it happened and do not know anyone personally whom it happened to.

3. I'm white. but I have Native American in me (many times through multiple generations as most Canadians are) ... Am I less deserving of land because of the colour of my skin?

4. What do you need the land for? Cutural hunting grounds or a Casino? I'm sure casino's were up and around during the peace pipe days and must be your cultural heritage.

5. I pay taxes. If you want help from a government, you should too. You want help with water problems? pay taxes, or at the very least organize your own, get it.

Whilst we crucify someone like Imus for a slip of the tongue and a relative misdemeanor, real criminals are getting away with acts of racism and mass murder.
