Even set up equipments there without anybody's permission? Isn't NASA illegal immigrant in space?

As far as we know it's open territory. Now if by chance a more advanced being comes along and lets us know we overstepped our boundry....I'm sure we'd appologise and move on ,since obviously they are more advanced than we are and it wouldn't be prudent to get testy about it.

It's one thing to do it out of ignorance and another to do it knowing it's against the law.

Things are not illegal because you say they are, show me a document (legal document) that makes it illegal for the USA to send a spacecraft in space.

What government owns it? I assure you Earth would fight any AlphaCentarians who felt they owned anything within our solar system. Think of it as an interspacial 'three mile limit'.
