Hi,

I'm in the Uk and everyone tells me Masons do a lot for charity but what do they actually spend it on? Someone told me most of it gets ploughed back to fellow members needs but a mason once confided to me that he had gone as high as he could in freemasonry but still didn't know how a single penny was spent, was he pulling my leg?

Including the Pentagon/CIA) budget, Afghanistan, Iraq, all the Bases we have around the world, amendments later added, Veteran Pensions, Funerals, Insurance for the surviving Families, Operations and care for the cripples, protection for Haliburton, and so one. Does anybody know, where that can be located. I heard it was somewhere around 1,2 Trillion for 2006.

Please answer, I need opinions for a project I have to do.

Personally, being hispanic myself I am very compassionate for immigrants (legal && illegal). I know people are breaking the law being here illegally. But if you think of all the people who need to be here to help themselves and family I definitely have a lot of respect for them. But I need responses from both sides.

Please help.

In my studies of Vietnam, former soldiers are bitter about the interference of non-expert civilians, such as (former USAAF officer) Robert S McNamara. Yet I never hear a peep about the fact that those who originated, planned and prosecute the Iraq war [Rumsfeld, Perle, Wolfowitz, Cheney, Bush] are Washington bureaucrats, very detached from the real world and UTTERLY detached from the military. And this very lack of expertise is the reason for the loss of direction and lack of a strategy. If the reason for the different attitude isn't political, what is it?

You might have seen the bumper sticker that says: "God is not a Republican" and it got me thinking about the party affiliation of the Devil. I was thinking he identifies most with the Democrats, he likes Saddam Hussein, defending criminals, giving needles to drug addicts, and promoting any kind of perverted sex you can or can't imagine. Please give examples of why he would identify one way or another.

I'm not reffering to early voting. I mean actually extending normal voting. Isn't it ridiculous that 250 million people are expected to all vote in less than 24 hours?

As I believe it is impossible for one party to wholly represent your beliefs and interests, I would be interested in hearing - from people on both sides - which policy or issue from THE OTHER SIDE appeals to you. This, of course, does not mean that you are switching allegiance, but surely...there must be something that the other side says which speaks to you...

They called me asking donations, care packages to the troops. I would not give the troops the time of day let alone any care packages, I rather help the insurgents if I could and do pray they win the fight instead of our troops under our malevolent liar President Bush, and it really angers me they call and beg of me when I am on the no call list, what a bunch of loosers. I told them to f-off, I told them I dont support the troops at all and instead I write letters to them counter support. Is there any way I can sue the Navy for asking me to support the troops with these pitifull beg for support calls?

We so often see large and vocal support for candidates at colleges and universities, but when it comes time to vote, young people, myself included, don't show up at the poll. What are the reasons for the disconnect between the ardent support for issues or candidates and voting? Could candidates discuss topics or are there issues that would increase voter turnout by young people? Do you feel there are changes that could be made by governments to increase young voter participation? Do you just not vote because you don't know when or where to vote, or it is too inconvienent or too difficult to get absentee ballots while at college?

What would make you get out to vote?

Sam Fox, a St. Louis businessman was nominated by George Bush to be the Ambassador to Belgium. It has been revealed that he donated $50,000 to the Swift Boat Veterans For Truth ( SBVT) organization during the 2004 presidential campaign.
The SBVT claimed that John Kerry's medals were undeserved. All objective investigations of these claims have led to considerable skepticism. It seems the SBVT main goal was retribution for John Kerry speaking out against the Vietnam War as a former veteran of that war.
The Senate Foreign Relations Committee is considering whether the contribution to the SBVT is cause for rejecting the nomination. What is your opinion ?
