It is a great opportunity to have your voices heard, and to control some programmming. i always read about how liberal the media is, just womndering how many have taken the opportunity to change that?

lol, so just stand around and complain while doing nothing to improve the situation! You sound like the dems, and another reason to reamin independent! They do not need your money, and listeners are the ones who keep them in business, not the tax dollars. If you gave money, they would cater to you. That's how it works. Oh well, I tried to give you guys an opportunity. Seems you are happy with the status quo, just like Iraq.

I actually hadn't considered it - I never listen, and I didn't know of the pledge drive. NPR is nowhere on my radar screen.

But now it is. You make a very good argument! I will check them out, and possibly contribute. You educated me, and may have broadened my outlook. Thanks.

Will they report us both for NOT arguing ceaselessly, but for actually LEARNING something from each other instead? (That's what we're supposed to do, isn't it?) They may throw us off the site! :)

PS LOL!

Just because you give money to NPR, it doesn't mean they will change their programing from left to right. So No, I haven't given them any money, nor will I ever.

I did not know that if you gave money, NPR would ask me what party I represent and what I wanted to hear. Dang, you almost convinced me I need to write a check.

They already get funding from the government. Why doesn't the Hollywood wing of the democratic party pick up where that leaves off? I cannot believe that an influx of conservative donations would change the programming of NPR.

NPR is possibly the most liberal of all of the media outlets. Why would I (a conservative) donate money to them?

My donation to NPR (unless in an amount in the millions) would not give me any say in programming.

I don't listen to NPR, so I don't pledge.

NPR is supported by tax dollars so they don't need me to "pledge" anymore money

I don't send money to socialist propaganda machines. I would take any money requested of me by them, and send it directly to Rush's adopt-a-soldier fund.
