The United States always shuns countries that are communist. Not to mention Chinas bad human rights record. SO why does the Us not impose Trade sanctions or other things to shun China??? instead they are americas favored country?

someone please explain this to me, as im thinking of picking this subject to do a report on.

My friend is asking me to pay half of the money that he paid for the hotel cost. he went to sue me. what can i do? we didn't have this deal. I am really angry. why ? I have paid a lot for him. this issue is not worth a lawyer and not even worth the time. Reguardless of your politics. If you are a libreal or conservative. Believe in global warming or not. Wouldn't we be better off if we quit putting extreme amount of carbons in our atmosphere.
As a nation wouldn't we be stonger if we were energy independent. By using renewable energy such as wind and solar for our homes and bio fuels for our cars we would not have to be concerned everytime something happens outside our borders on how it will affect us at the pumps and heating our home. We have the technoligy and the resources to be totally energy independent in the next 10 years. Not only would we be a stronger nattion we would be protecting our enviroment.
Just for once I would like for us to take the politics out of this and really talk about how we can be become less dependent on foreign oil and enviromentally friendly.

I just read that Cheney is saying that congress, by giving Iraq a time limit to meet their benchmarks or pulling out in September 2008, is viewed as not supporting the military. My husband is in the Navy and has heard of "Tiger Deployments" where the spouses or family members of a sailor can deploy on the ship.

These deployments are only for a day usually just out in the ocean and back. He heard that sometimes they dock in another country and family members can buy tickets to fly there and are shipped back on the ship with their sailors.

I was wondering if anyone has heard of these "Tiger" Deployments? Can you really be shipped back across an ocean with the sailor (if you fly to an international port)? Is this an actual fact?

You see this in the movies alot. Cop in a hot pursuit says "Hey I'm commandeering this vehicle!" then just takes the person's car, or motorcycle or whatever. Can a policeman, FBI agent, or anyone employed by the government actually do this? And if so, how would one get their vehicle back? Or if the officer destroys said vehicle, can you get compensation for it?

Our founding father wrote that statement in 1796 and it was signed off by John Adams in 1797. This statement proves that the founding fathers wanted a secular government. We were founded on secularism and Christian fanatical right wing conservatives insist we are a Christian nation and not a secular nation. Why would they attempt to convince you of that lie? What is their purpose and why do so many people listen to them and believe them. Our history is clearly that of a secular nation and we must not change that character of the American way of life.

Two truckers were arrested and a "drop house" was raided in immigrant smuggling cases in the El Paso area this week, a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman said on Friday.
On Wednesday morning, the Border Enforcement Security Task Force, or BEST, stopped two 18-wheelers on Interstate 10 near Vado after agents spotted the drivers letting two men into one cab and another man into the other cab at a truck stop, ICE spokeswoman Leticia Zamarripa said.

The three immigrants, found hiding in the sleeper sections, told investigators they each paid $1,800 to be smuggled to Los Angeles. Truck drivers Julio Cesar Cazabal Gutierrez, 34, and Javier Nolasco Sanchez, 26, were arrested on charges of conspiracy to transport undocumented aliens, which is punishable by up to five years in prison.

On Tuesday, ICE agents discovered 16 immigrants in an apartment in the 1100 block of Seventh Street in El Paso's Segundo Barrio, officials said. Agents arrested alleged smugglers Iris Guereca, 20, of El Paso, and Rene Raul Taylor Lopez, 20,
and Francisco Alejandro Lopez Vasquez, 21, who are Mexican citizens in the U.S. illegally.
The immigrants were from the Mexico City area and paid $1,500 to $2,000 to be taken to California, Wisconsin and other states, officials said.

Most of the immigrants were returned to Mexico.
