This is my first question I'm giving it a try!

As I have looked at exxons balance sheet i am amased why the ceo dose not respond to the press and congress and say " hay what have you guys done with the 90 plus BILLION $ my company has paid"

Please look at the words in the top left part of the page the ($ are in millions) so you need to put 6 zero after the number. their total revenue were $370,680,000,000
excise tax 30,742,000,000
other tax and duties 41,554,000,000
income tax 23,302,000,000
total 95,958,000,000

I am sorry but that is a f.. ,sh.. load of money, and that is only one co. What about shell oil, and BP oil. now that is unthinkable.

If ya ask me these co.'s are paying for the war all by themselves, and i can't ask them to pay more, that crazey, our goverment need to stop wasting the money on all this pork spending

I think you have it slightly backwards. Exxon/Mobile receives billions of dollars in subsidies from the federal government, more than offestting any taxes it might otherwise owe. Why do you think Cheney is Vice President? For his health? What do you think the secret energy cabal was all about?

To the victor go the spoils. When you get to be president, then you can annoint your industry with federal funds.

They pay a tiny fraction of profits for taxes. Why? They get lots of tax breaks, incentives and deductions. What a shame! We get to pay double digit taxes, they pay taxes with a decimal point before all the zeroes, as a percentage of a single percent.

I.E. .005 percent where we might pay 10 to 33 percent.

ExxonMobil gives quite a bit to the Texas state legislators in political contributions lol. Yeah, I know it's not the same, but HEY, they are contributing lol.
