http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/iran_britainTEHRAN, Iran (AP) - The Iranian military questioned 15 detained British sailors and marines Saturday and said they had confessed to illegally entering Iranian waters in an act of "blatant aggression."

Britain has demanded the return of the sailors and marines and denied they had strayed into Iranian waters while searching for smugglers off Iraq's coast.

The eight sailors and seven marines were brought to Tehran for questioning, and a top military official, Gen. Ali Reza Afshar, said they "confessed to illegal entry into Iran's waters."

"The said personnel are being interrogated and have confessed to aggression into the Islamic Republic of Iran's waters," Afshar was quoted as saying by the state news agency IRNA and the semi-official ISNA news agency. He did not say what would be done with the Britons

They were all in their 50s-70s!!! Don't tell me only the young are "Libs". Also, a staunch Republican woman said "Enough already!", and asked him to help the administration see that even their party doesn't support them any more. Very interesting....

Former President Clinton was impeached after events that were completely unrelated to politics. Bush has arguably tested the furthest boundaries of democracy and the American way and still hasn't had his peers definitively bring his leadership and decisions into question. I don't follow politics as closely as I'd like to so I figured I'd see what everyone has to say.

Cheney says House doesn't support troops

That's a mystery. As mysterious as how Halliburton get most of the profit out of Iraq while violating contracts with the US military by food supply (gave US military expired food), and fuel supply (US military complained that Halliburton was selling overpriced fuel to the Army).

Wouldn't you agree?

It appears many people understand that these "scandals" are mostly trivial things being elevated to a national interest by a Democratic Congress that is powerless to actually DO anything (since they can't overide veto's). Can they keep this up all the way to the 2008 election? If we see it, doesn't everyone? And, if so, won't it negate the effect since the country is so evenly split between Conservatives and Liberals?

If I object to the motto "In God We Trust" on a dollar bill on grounds that it violates my freedom of religion, is it illegal for me to cross this out? I understand that obscuring or altering the serial number or denomination is illegal (and stupid) and voids the bill, but what about the rest of it? I have heard that bills are government property and cannot be altered in any way. Can someone be prosecuted for objecting to religious messages? Any info?

P.S. I'm aware that some people are offended by my question and my beliefs, so I'd appreciate only serious answers and not the usual "burn in heck" hatred usually hurled at me. Remember that this is a legal question and I only want legal answers. Thank you.

Dick Cheney claims that the house doesn't support our troops. Well... why would they? Its not that the house doesn't support them, they just dont support the war. And why should they? Yes I think what we DID was good and what we DID surved a purpose, but ENOUGH ALREADY!! We have done enough, we have given them planes, soldiers, food, supplies, money, buildings, services, education, and the most important thing of all we gave them HOPE! Iraq has a respected currency, a stock market, an economy(for once) and they even had an election. Which everyone seems to LOVE. So why are we still there? Let them do it!

What else does our government want? To make Iraq the 51st state? lol enough already!

300 Spartans died a small number just cuz the counsil wouldn't give them the troops they needed to defeat the persians. Although those troops kicked @$$ they lost the last balttle because small numbers.

Just like our Goverment troops are not being sent as needed.

although this happend alooooong time ago the politics of the day are similar; although the Spartans were a much hardier race than the well American people.
